Just finished a Stone 7.7.7. and decided to sample this brew next given the two closely related styles. Aroma is spicy and peppery with musty yeastiness and fruits as well as some orange peel and maybe slight coriander or ginger. Appearance is a cloudy yellow-orange in color with a very full head on top that seems almost oxidized and is frothy and very creamy and carbonated and a bleach-white in color and only dissipates slightly leaving soapy lacing. Mouthfeel is light-bodied with some decent complexity as well as balance with a palate that is clean and relatively sharp that is a bit dry and coats well. Flavor is of some apple as well as some spice like ginger and pepper with an aftertaste that is light and airy and very drinkable with a finish that has no alcohol noticeable and some allspice. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with this brew and I like it but I could do without the extreme carbonation and on a final note, this ale is dangerously drinkable given the alcohol content like many saisions have.

This on surprised me, Poured a golden color with fluffy head. Aroma was grassy and peppery and the funk. Flavor was the same lots of funk and grassy hops. Very good. didn't expect this one from flying dog.

Beer pours pale yellow with decent head and lacing. Heavy grass and barnyard aroma. Very nice blend of barnyard funk, spices, and fruity sweet goodness. Surprisingly good!

Pours a cloudy golden color, some amber hues in there, nice huge initial pillowy head. Lacing was a bit weak. The aroma was grassy hops first, some coriander-like spicing, some peppery notes. The flavor was funky, grassy, honey, apples, wheat, spicing (coriander and I guess caracao), pepper. This is one of the finer Flying Dog productions I've come across. Mouthfeel was malty for a saison, yet with a dry crispness to the finish.

Really pretty good saison. A bit hot in the carbonation, but a pretty good apple peel fruitiness and a solid maltiness. Farily hazed amber with a large head. Doesn’t really seem to stick around though.

Another Flying Dog product that I didn't care for. A Colorado saison eh? Well to start it looked nice. A cloudy solid corn yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma was cereal (corn flakes) like with some bubblegum. Flavor was muted sweet without much flavor except for just a bit of fruitiness. Mouthfeel was almost overly carbonated and a little syrupy. Overall, another disappointment. I'm starting to wonder about these guys.

Golden-orange body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet with a grassy hop note and an underlying maltiness. Light bodied, tingly from the carbonation and a touch dry.
