Dry Hopped with a load of Cascade hops grown in the Pacific Northwest. Doggie Style has enough hop character to satisfy hop-heads, but isn’t overpoweringly hoppy. It’s brilliant amber-copper color and pleasant malt flavor comes from the addition of Carastan malts.

Bottle: Poured a copper to orange/red brown, with an off white color medium lacing head. Aroma is fresh with hops and malt. Taste is nice mix of hops and malts, each work well off each other to bring a balanced to the tongue.

Crystal clear golden color with decent off white head. Big aroma of citrusy hops which gives a first impression of an IPA. Taste is rather light after what I was expecting from the aroma. Maybe even a bit watery. Really nice hop bitterness. Not too harsh either. Also there is a malty and slightly bready aftertaste that is pleasant. A refreshing summer time ale.

35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours clear dark golden to amber, with an off-white head. Moderate hoppy aroma and fruity with malt, caramel, citrus and hints of pine and grass. Moderate sweet with balanced hoppy flavours and a decent, but somewhat mild bitterness. A bit thin, but inoffensive and easy to drink. Slightly boring, but certainly a decent pale ale.

Bottle at home, Amber beer with a small head, aroma of hops/citrus/lemon, taste was light/medium bitter and citrus/hops. Overall a decent beer that is very easy to drink.

OK, so what do you think of when you hear doggie style? Try punchen that into your google video search and see what happens in the cesspool. Typical aroma of flying dog, slightly fruity. Transparent but ever so slightly hazy. If you didn’t look closely you may not notice. Similar flavor of FD IPA but the only thing missing is the intense bitter lingering finish common of most IPAs. This brew is on par with Schell, lancaster and great lakes american pale ales. I view amercan pale ales as ales that are one step under IPA in intensity but about the same flavor.

Medium sized offwhite head, fair retention and lace. Clear amber colored brew, sharp. Large fruity nose, some citrus also. Medium body. Medium sweet malt flavors, biscuity along with fruity hop flavors. Finish is a tad sweet, a decent pale ale though.

Pale golden pour with an average white head. Decent retention but not much lacing. Breaded malt and mild citrus aroma. Flavour leans towards grassy and citrus hops but also has some breaded malt for balance. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Refreshing, not bad for Flying Dog.

Copper with a small head. Quite a robust pale ale with caramel-malt in its nose. Has a fairly gritty taste with malt involved here too. Fairly crisp....

I've been holding onto this one a long time, at least a couple of years, with many other beers I've been carefully cellaring. Deep brick orange, almost brown, a little cloudy with a head that quickly dissolves. Aroma of lemon, orange, and sugar, a bit of raisin but quite tart. Tart and bittersweet flavor, too, like lemon peel and caramel. Even after being aged, the bitter is still fighting for juxtaposition. Nice fine carbonation, medium body, not so sticky for the style. Need to try this fresh, because it sounds like age improves it.

This beer is most definately a pale ale. A color of golden amber orange beams with life. The dry mouthfeel balances out with the juicy texture. The hops add a slight pungency. Overall, this is a pleasant beer and very satisfying for a pale ale lover.
