It pours a dark amber/burnt-orange with thin light-tan head and some lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, pine, grapefruit, grassy, and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit, bitterness, grassy, and spiciness. Pretty solid IPA.

A pretty tight IPA if i do say so myself. A cloudy copper colour with a medium sized head. Awesome aroma with fruity pebbles and fresh floral notes. Taste is so fruity and awesome with hints of pepper and blueberry as well as dankalicious herb notes.

First off, I think this bottle has brewer error because it only poured vigorous foam on the first pour. Aroma is soapy to some extent with some nice floral ovetones as well as some slight sweet maltiness with some dried-floral overtones. Appearance is a muddled bronze-orange to brown in color when held to the light with a very carbonated head on top that is light-tan in color and remains throughout consumption. Mouthfeel is a tad over-carbonated but offers complex maltiness as well as sharp hoppy balance with a palate that is clean and crisp. Flavor is hoppy bitter with some toasty malt with an aftertaste that is refreshing and a tad piney with a finish that is a bit wet-like and not all that bad. Overall, decent IPA here that borders on Imperial red ale but, nonetheless, good example of the style for sure and my first product from Estes Park.

Not much to look at. Darkish brown pour with a small head that faded quickly to a thin tan layer, but did leave lots of sticky lacing. Has what looks like a lot of sea monkeys or something suspended throughout the pour. Aroma is decent, a malt and floral hop combo without either leaping to the front. Medium-bodied, and with low carbonation. Unbalanced in flavor. Hops are strongly present and produce a bitter finish, but are not well matched by the malt, and the beer suffers by lacking balance. I don't think I would care to drink several of these in succession, as it seems it may have a bit of a heart-burny component, and there are many other APA's I'd prefer to invest in.

Pours murky copper with fantastic head & lacing. The aroma is herbal and peppery. The flavor is sweet and yeasty with a bitter finish. Unfortunately, this beer crosses the fine line between bright bitterness and sour. Still, not at all bad; highly drinkable. Light bodied and somewhat viscous with mild carbonation. Thanks to amateurbeerguy for providing this bottle.

Sampled from bottle, a gift from amatuerbeerguy. This IPA pours hazy copper/amber with a few floaties and a thick, creamy head. Its aroma is spicy, piney hops - a bit resinous. Barely bitter with floral hops/hard candy dominating the flavor. Although its not that bitter up front, it does linger in the finish. A bit gassy. A decent IPA.

Muddled would be the right description I think. Nothing about this brew seems to meld. Malt and hops clash. Not good at all.

12 oz bottle. Pours a murky tea color (much darker than most IPAs) with lots of suspended sediment. There's not much head - it takes a pretty vigorous pour to coax a thin and bubbly light tan head, that quickly goes to a thin collar which leaves some lacing.

The aroma is piney, fruity hops and caramel. It smells somewhat like Hog Heaven, but a little more subdued. Some dough comes out as it warms.

The flavor is sweet and fruity (slightly sour apple) caramel malts leading to a good sized, lingering bitter hop finish. It is medium bodied and pretty watery.

Overall, a decent IPA. The sourness and watery body bring it down a bit. Still, I think it is one of Estes Park's better offerings. I did like it better on tap at the brewery.

A mu rky copper pour, this was an unimpressive IPA. the flavor was watery, with an occasional taste of hops. There are so many more great IPAs out there. Pass on this one.

GABF '03. Amber color with decent creamy head. Light, floral aroma. Nice hoppy bitter bite finish.
