I tried this beer on June 5, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy golden orange colour with a thick white head which lasted a few minutes. The aroma was wheat, some cloves, and a little bit of hops. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and highly carbonated. The flavour was sweet wheat with some clove, banana, and coriander.

It's a week late review, but I did take some drunken notes... "really banana smell. Brilliant! Very alpine-y and herb-y. Refreshing." It's all true, though I should point out it was a very warm day in Vancouver, so the style paired well with the heat. I quite liked the medium carbonation, though the spices really didn't show themselves too much. Well liked around the table.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a peach hue to it. Medium sized head with good retention leaves lots of lacing behind. Lots of active carbonation. Aroma of banana's, orange and a hint of yeast. Flavours of banana and citrus with a wheat hint. Very smooth flavour and great drinkability. Mouthfeel is thin to medium with high carbonation. Overall very good.

Sample from 330 ml bottle at the Brewery International stand, Smak 09. ABV is 5.0%. Golden colour, hazy, moderate head. Moderate hefeweizen aroma, notes of cloves and bubblegum. The flavour is fairly dry with moderate notes of cloves.

Best before 02-2009. This herb wheat beer poured a cloudy golden-beige colour with a big white frothy head, good retention, some little separate lace spots and active carbonation. Very nice smooth aromas of bananas, wheat and yes, oat soap. The one that comes in the push bottle, that makes your hands smelling so nice. I must say that I was quite surprised when I saw the twist-off cap on this one. The palate is quite smooth, and kind of watery, making this one quite refreshing. I can detect a little bubblegum in the aftertaste, but have a hard time finding the spices in the rest of the taste. Orange, wheat, but very well-blended. Overall, a nice weizen that is really refreshing (but was expecting more from the spices).

Twist top bottle??? Pours a decent looking clouded pale straw in the glass with a 3 finger puffy cap. Great lacing. Color and look more reminiscent of a Belgian wit Good aroma for a commercial weissbier; banana, spices, cloves, bit of fruit bubblegum, and a mild herbal under tone....nice! A whack of sweet malts up front that instantly is joined with fruits, spice and some fine bittering herbs that compliment and brighten the hops...finish dries out nicely with a crisp snap and a bit of puckering dryness. Really nicely carried off for a commercial effort.Aromatic. fruity lightly sweet with a dry crispness. Very decent flavourful summer drink.

I was missing the Krystal Weizen from my style list, and this was recently introduced into the Ontario market. Strange thing is............it's not clear. It's just as hazy as other Hefe's. The aroma was spicy, banana, and some wheat. The flavour was smooth, mellow, and tasty. A nicely balanced wheat profile.

Bottle courtesy of Piscator34: Poured an hazy yellow/white color weizen with a huge pure white foamy head with great retention and great lacing. Aroma of banana ester if dominating with some subtle sourness. Taste is also dominated by banana ester as well as lots of wheat and finished with some subtle sourness which is too bad because everything was perfect and pointing to a magnificent weizen. It is too bad that the style doesn’t travel well because I am sure that this stuff is great when fresh. The spices aspect of it is interesting but that weizen part of this really dominate.

pours a cloudy pale yellow, i may have been a bit to careful pouring because the head is tiny... it is however very creamy lookin and it does have decent life. there are tons of tiny little bubbles floating around in this guy... havent had a hefe in a while but i dont think there is usually a whole lot of carbonation goin on... but its been a while since i had a hefe and i could be terribly wrong! the aroma is wheat, banana, citrus and coriander... smells extremely similiar to hoegaarden in my eyes. thats always a good thing! :) the mouthfeel is clean and very subtle it fits this beer perfectly. the flavors are perfect here, nice wheat attribute (not over powering like alot of hefe's) there is a hint of vanilla, banana (very subtle) and cloves. i have a hard time finding the herb in there... it might be very present and so obvious that im just missing it. the aftertaste lingers for quite some time and keeps that nice citrusy taste with u for a while. highly enjoyable brew, i had pretty high hopes for this one and it didnt disappoint! :) ps. the more it warms the more i taste banana/vanilla. i will purchase this again!
