Erdinger Weissbier crystal is particularly welcome as a tasty thirst-quencher for hot summer days. This specialty wheat beer gets its crystal appearance from a particularly long filtration process, known in the industry as "fine filtration", whereby the beer becomes completely clear. This gives Erdinger Weissbier crystal its sparkling and refreshing character - which also makes it the ideal wheat beer for warm summer days. Brewed in strict accordance with our own traditional recipe, Erdinger Weissbier crystal meets the highest quality standards and satisfies the most sophisticated palate

The beer pours a translucent amber-tinged gold with a thin creamy off-white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, light caramel, floral hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour matches the aroma and is a typical German wheat beer flavour. It starts off with the wheat, followed by some light sweet fruity caramel notes, followed by a little citrusy bitterness, leading to a mild hoppy finish. A very well brewed Kristal hefeweizen -

Part of their Variety Pack from this Christmas with a glass. Pours a clean golden colour with a big creamy warm cap, very long lasting with lots of lacing. Wheat aromas with some peach notes. The taste is malty with some pilsner hops hints in the finish. Clean tasting with a nice touch of dryness. A refreshing, easy-drinking well-brewed Krystalweizen.

Clear (!) yellow, white lacing, lasting white foam head. Perfect drink for this temperature, light citrus aroma, crisp fresh tast. Nice beer. (Ouddorp 201508)

Clear golden yellow pour, near perfect white head, lots of lacing, good carbonation. Light sweet malty sweetness and yeasts in the initial aroma and taste, lightly grassy, subtle Noble hops, fruity - light apples, very clean and refreshing. Great summer beer.

Pours a clear bright gold body with a smallish white head that is held aloft for a long time by highly active carbonation. The aroma is predominantly grainy (but nearly as "wheaty" as the average hefeweizen) with very gentle hops. Lightly sweet. The taste follows the same pattern as the aroma with grain predominating but will some malt and fruit mixed in as well. The mouthfeel was lightly sweet and very refreshing and excellent on a hot summer day.

Sampled on 9/4/2011. This German Kristallweizen pours a medium orange gold color from a .5l bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. The aroma is wheaty and cereal, with some citrus and spiciness. A light to medium bodied Kristallweizen. The malts are cereal and grainy, with some sweetness. The hops are citrusy and spicy. Decent carbonation. Light and refreshing with a nice crisp dry finish. A touch of banana and clove as well, but this beer is mostly about the citrusy character. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

It pours a light yellow-golden with thick white head and excellent lace. Aroma of wheat malts, lemons and citrus, light hops, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery. Flavors of wheaty malts, light hops, lemon and citrus, and mild spices. Flavorful!

This poured out a medium-lemon yellow, but I thought it would come out a bit lighter. There was a huge foamy head that would have overflowed the glass is I wasn't careful. Left about an inch of swiss-cheese-looking lacing. Tastes very light and mildly fruity (like bananas). Goes down extremely smoothly. refreshing, but not much else.

The body pours out a golden body, clear with healthy 2" fluffy bright white head. Aroma is bubblegum and banana along with some light oxidation. Flavor is pretty simple and straight forward. Light fruit, some malts with a hint of banana and bubblegum. Very light and easy to drink. Barely noticed my glass was empty.

A good crisp refreshing beer , the usual citrus bite that you expect from a Weissbier and to me the fact that it wasn't clouded didn't really seem to detract from its qualities .
