In playful pursuit of butterflies a Red Fox danced across the brewery hill. His joy so pure it bubbled through our hearts and into this beer. Laughing Fox is a sparkling Kristal Weizen brewed in the Bavarian tradition with 50% Wisconsin wheat in our open top fermenters. Tickle your nose notes of spicy clove and cinnamon abound. Dan’s inspired Weizen interpretation reflects the deep bittersweet color of our Fox’s red coat. Expect this beer to pour a lively effervescent glass thick with creamy foam and bursting with luscious fruity notes on your pallet. This is easy drinking beer perfect for a friendly Wisconsin evening. Relax, this is God’s Country, here we have the strength to reach for the stars and change the world.

Another wish list item from Heybeerman, which is the case for any new Glarus I haven't tried and many I have. Pours clear, but dark like an amber, almost red. Huge head. Both this and the winter warmer had more of a spicy belgianesque quality than expected. Fruity, crisp and clean. Light spice and fruit in the flavor. Not up to par with other wheats from NG, but among the better Krystals I've had.

Ended up bringing a couple bottles back from the Hootenanny this year thanks to John and Travis. Shared the 1st bottle w/ my friends at an earlier tasting and am now enjoying the 2nd all to myself. A light copper body with a ruby red tint threw me off initially, but it looks so nice in the glass. Clear and bubbly with a big ol' head. Yeasty with a solid clove and banana content along with some minor Belgian fruitiness. Exceptionally clean and crisp, it's an easy drinker for any day of the week.

Recent wishlist item - Thanks Pfoxyjohn for bringing this one down for the Hootenanny. Clear light copper pour with a big bubbly off white head and drapes of lacing. Almost Belgianesque aroma, with big wheats, yeasts, some spices, a hint of cinnamon, a touch of lemongrass. Flavor is bi on the wheats, with a light spicy undertone, some cinnamon, especially with a bit of warming, not much of the advertised clove for me, but still a bit of bubble gum type Belgian yeasts in the flavor too. Really nice and refreshing. I would expect nothing less from New Glarus and the recently retired microbiologist John from Wisconsin.

A nice new offering from New Glarus. Pours a beautiful golden orange colour. Translucent, nice spritz. Aroma is unique. Herbally, grass notes, yet hop presense tied in with a boquet of tropical fruit. Taste is mellow, yet powerful. Flavors are abundant yet modest. Overall a real lovely beer.
