Nose: Clove, bubble gum, grass, violets. Appearance: Indeed a crystal clear body, moderate short-lived head leaving more suds than lace. Mouth: medium body, slick, decent tingle, not coating. Flavor: Surprisingly sweet, drinking a bit on the warm side and getting maple syrup, clove aspect is there and is drying on the mouth, short finish is dry and baking spice. Bubblegum is there. Slightly more hops and less esters than a straight hefe as it should be.

Pours out gold color with no head. The aroma is of malt and yeast. The mouthfeel is only average but still good. The flavor is not very powerful just a good cleaned yeasty and sweet malt taste.

Pours a clear golden color with large white head that stays for long time. The aroma is wheat, bubble gum, banana & clove. The taste is banana, clove and bubble gum. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

Pours clear solar yellow with a thick and persistent snowy head. Aroma delivers yeasty, raw malt, tropical and subtle apple tones. Flavor yields fresh and slightly sweet malt, banana, yeasty and subtle fruit notes. Texture presents perky fizz and smooth, fairly firm body. There is a reason this brewery has been around for nearly a millennium - I'm sure they have something special planned for 2040!

This is a clear gold wheat beer, something of a contradiction I suppose. The clear golden body is capped by a foamy white head and the head lasts a white. The aroma is typical hefe with notes of wheat, bubble gum, clove and banana

Bottle. Colour - very clear straw gold, thin white head, frothy. Aroma - light wheat, bananas, cloves. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, a little heavy on the carbonation. Flavour - sweet, some bubble gum, some spiciness. A nice refreshing treat

I picked this beer up from Honeygo Wine and Spirits in White Marsh, MD. This is yet another style that has eluded me. A very nice beer. Crystal clear, effervescent, and wheaty. Very nice golden yellow color. Lovely beer. Thanks for sharing Joey.

Indeed crystal clear yellow with white foam head. Foam diminishes and slightly lacing to glass. Aroma is malty. Taste is sweeter malt, with some small bread, toast, leaves. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201209)

Fifth beer tried from this self-proclaimed "World's Oldest Brewery". Always imported by the LCBO - thank you. Best before date on back label (at bottom) writes: 15/02/2013. This filtered wheat brew pours a light golden colour with a big creamy-froth white head that has great retention and thick lacing. At first pour, a beautiful spicy yeast nose shows reminding me of Unibroue. After breathing a bit, the spices disappear and the hop (grassy, rusty) comes out with hints of lime. Crisp mouthfeel, but still medium-bodied. Mild wheat taste and notes of banana and cloves. Pretty refreshing cold for a warm summer night, but a tad mild overall for a 5.4% ABV. Good, but bit too clean.

Bottle: pours clear gold with a decent puffy 3 finger cap which lasts and laces well. Sharp effervescence. Aroma is mild but has the bisquity-cloves-banana character of a hefeweiss. Easy to drink. Spritzy, dry, fruity biscuity malty, clean dry sharp finish. Enough flavor and character left to satisfy. About as good as gets for a filtered Hefeweizen.
