Black in color with a big sudsy textured light brown colored head rising above. There is excellent hang time on the head. A thick ringlet and persistent cap are left. Grassy hoppiness and smoky malt are the total profile. Overbearing bitterness in a moderate bodied beer.

Solid representation of the style. Well balanced between the dark malty flavors and the citrus notes from the IPA. Getting slight coffee in there too. Sort of like a lighter hoppy American porter. Another winner from Due South.
