Malt leaning color by numbers amber ale. Carmel and bready malts. Light hopping. Not alot going on, for better or worse. Party beer on the cheap, perhaps...

Part of a 12-pack sampler. IPA-type of copper colored body, with a fizzy head that disappeared as quickly as Obama's credibility. Malt-heavy, as expected, tangy, but not quite bitter, counterbalance. Like grass, caramel, and duck sauce. Mouthfeel is pretty watery. Decent, and par-for-the-course as amber ales go.

Found at Big Lots! for $7.99 a six-pack and I'm usually game to try something new and affordable, even if the style is about as exciting as watching paint dry. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it wasn't all that bad, considering where I bought it. A medium sweet aroma with light honey, light hop/grassy note with a touch of metallic/dirty penny smell. Flavor has a bitterness that I usually attribute to an earthy/walnut-y like bitterness, light malt profile and nothing to distract an easy quaffing beverage. A nice beer for beginners, if they want to get to know the exciting style of Amber ales.
