(BOTTLE) Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz into a pint glass. There is no noticeable born on or freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: It has a nice clear amber color body with some visible carbonation in it. The pour produced a small, one finger thick, light tan head which quickly settles down to just a thin ring of lace with a thin island of tine bubbles in the middle. The lacing on the glass minimal and slick. Smell: The aroma has alight nose with hints of pale malt and light citrus like hops. Taste/Palate: Overall it has a light summery body. Its base has light grain and pale maltiness with an almost sour dough bread like character. A very light touch of butterscotch like diacetyl is also detected. Hop flavor add a light touch of citrus and light grassy notes as well as light bitterness. The finish is light, balanced and clean. Its light body is simple, thin textured and refreshing. Notes: This was an easy drinking and refreshing simple summery beer. This beer is also much better on tap then in the bottle!!! (TAP) Presentation: It was poured from a tap at the brewery into a small plastic tasting glass. This was part of the breweries tasting. I think it was two or three dollars to sample each of there seven beers. Appearance: It is hard to say from the sample size but I would say that it would be very similar to the bottled version. Smell: Here is where I started to notice some difference. The malt is still pale and light but the hops are fresher, brighter and bring more citrus notes to the nose. Taste/Palate: Like the aroma, the hop flavor is fresher and more vibrant. The light pale maltiness is cleaner as well and I didn’t notice any diacetyl notes. It is still light and fairly clean on the finish with just a little more citrus hop character. This is very refreshing, light bodied and easy drinking. Notes: This is the way to drink a Nine Man!!! On Tap!!!

Hey, I liked this one! Beer poured with huge head and fantastic lacing. Golden brown color rounded out a fine appearance. Not much going on aroma-wise. Flavor was malty, but as Vac noted, a bitterness from the malt...maybe a touch of caramel and some earthiness. Some hops present, but this doesn't seem like an American Pale Ale to me. Hops and malt taste more English. This is a drinkable beer that I wouldn't mind coming back to anytime. Not fancy, but well done!

1st time i ever had this was at the brewery fresh from da tap. It was thier new brew then and i was impressed with this very nice Ale. I was told by thier head brewer at the time (owners son....no gone) that it was intended to be a summer ale for those hot days. and I must say that it very drinkable on hot summer days

Draft @ Brewery. Clear gold color with smallish thin head. Aroma was light toffee with a bit of caramel. Not much hop taste but more of a bitter lemon thing going on. Dull.

Not bad at all, just unchallenging and a bit boring. Pours a bright golden color, with a nice long lasting head. Aroma is lightly sweet, a bit grainy, and a toffee and caramel aroma. Flavor is lightly citrussy and sweet, with earthy flavors and a nice crisp mild bitter finish. Finishes very dry and a bit hoppy, with an orange peel like bitterness. This golden ale had more character than most golden ales, which made it more enjoyable for me. Worth a try.

Deep golden body with lots of effervesence, topped by a thick white sustaining head that leaves a good amount of lace. Slightly bitter malt aroma with hoppy accents and a touch of caramel. Bitter hoppy flavor with a little maltiness and some caramel notes. The finish is bitter and slightly hoppy. Light to medium bodied and slightly sodalike.

Nice coloring to the beer and the aroma was pretty good as well. I thought the flavor was good....not too strong and not weak either.
