This black ale is the perfect balance of dark roasted malt and bright hop flavors. With bold and complex flavors at the forefront, this beer retains a remarkably clean finish.

A dark brown-black colored beer with a big frothy textured, beige colored head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. An impressively thick cap and ringlet formed. Malty, light hopped nose. Nice blending of grassy hops and toasted malt in the tasting. Light-medium bodied. refreshing.

2nd sample from Capital. This is probably one of the least hoppiest black IPAs that I've had. Well-balanced though and allows the malt to stand out more. Or, you could say that it's a hoppy dark brown ale. Either way...it's a smooth and decent brew. Wish the flavor was a bit more robust, but this is very drinkable.
