I picked this up at a new bottle shop in Roanoke, Va. This was just meh. I'm not a fan of this beer. Again, with all of the APAs out there, I won't have this again. Give me Sierra Nevada any day of the week.

Translucent gold with a very large frothy white head on the pour, slow to dissolve but leaving significant (though not dense) lace. Strong aroma of bitter grapefruit rind with just a trace of apple juice. Tiny but intense bubbles bite right away, and so does that powerful grapefruit oil flavor. There is, however, a hint of sweetness before a relatively balanced finish and lingering bitterness. Personally, I love good beer in a can and hope more brewers will choose this option. This one is a bit of a one-trick pony, in my opinion, but a decent unextreme beer for a hop lover.

This is one of my favourite beers. I have a friend who travels to Portland often to watch the Winterhawks play and always brings this back to me. A clear reddish-gold pour with a thin white head. A nice hoppy aroma with weak fruit and caramel. A refreshingly balanced flavour with mild caramel sweetness up front and a bitter hoppy finish in the end.

an aromatic well balanced pale ale. maybe a touch on the hoppy side, but i'll never complain about that. blending/balance seems to be Calderas thing. this is a nice pale i'd buy more of if it were available here.

only oregon would i find pale ale in a can. This beer screams, "bring me to a picnic"! I think thats what its aimed at... And its pretty good too, light and refreshing as i would expect. Still has a nice body.... fresh grassy malts and a quenching floral bitterness. Light bodied, goes down cold, it fits the bill....best canned beer ever! Can i get a keg of this?

Sampled this beer out of a 12 oz silver can. Average pale ale aroma with normal hop characteristics. A dark golden pour with a nice head, the flavor of this beer is nice and tight, crisp and refreshing with a nice hoppy bite. Friendly mouthfeel that not harsh at all, but medium-bodied. Overall a nice beer out of a can. Can't believe I typed that...

Comes in a 12 oz can, simple silver with a calderon surrounded by hop leafs on the front. In appearance it is a slightly hazy dark golden almost orange coloured ale, good sizeable chunky/frothy off white head, excellent lacing. Has quite a hoppy aroma to it, but also smells very fruuity almost like red apples. Nice hoppy bite to the taste to start off, then it gets rather tart and citric, after that it gets sweeter ..like sweet apples and as the mouthful finishes it smooths out to mellow. Good on the palate, quite "eventful"..nice mellow aftertaste. Very good drinkability to this one, great for camping which is were I had this beer at Beverley Beach State Park on the Oregon coast

I gave this one a try not too long ago and enjoyed it. It isn't anything fancy, but tasty. When poured it has a beatuful coloring and is quite enjoyable to sample.
