We craft this American pale ale with hearty amounts of pale and Munich malts, then balance it with lofty amounts of hops throughout. It's a finessed version of hop-head fun -- a black diamond beer without the bumps and dangerous curves.

Pretty average pale ale with unforgetable flavor. Definitely not enough hops to suit me. It's sad when companies try to appeal to the masses and distribute just subpar beer when you know they could make much better brew. Try their small batch 471 IPA and you'll know what I'm writing about.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a thin white head that quickly disappears.

The aroma is caramel malts and dirty hops with a bit of fruit.

The flavor is sweet malts with some citric grassy hops with a decent bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium and watery.

    Overall, a pedestrian pale ale.

Aroma is of bittering hops as well as some grapefruit with slight hop resin and has a sweet malty backbone. Appearance is a light copper to orange in color with a medium-sized head on top that diminishes to a carbonated light-tan head that adheres to the glass. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp with hoppy complexity as well as malty balance with a palate that is slightly dry and well-rounded and smooth. Flavor is of hoppy bitter and malty sweetness that compliment each other well with some dry grapefruit with an aftertaste that is crisp and tasty with a finish that becomes rather dry and not overly hoppy and seems to be a quality example of the style. Overall, not a bad beer here and is well-balanced and easy drinking and could be a great pale ale given the sessionability of this ale.

This beer pours a transparent amber body with a medium sized white head, with floral aromas and soft hopped finish. Slight caramel, grapefruit and pine in the flavor.

Has a apple-cider appearance with minimal head and some lace. Hops are very apparent in the aroma as well as citrus and spice. Excellent mouthfeel - smooth, rich, and tingly, not watery. Tastes of hops, caramel malts, and bitters. I like it, pretty damned tough beer!

Very weak aroma, poured golden brown and a little foggy, absolutely zero head, i dont even know if you can say it had lacing since there was no head to leave any, very weak hops which is dissatisfying for a pale ale, a slight alcoholic aroma with a decent malt flavor but is slightly overpowered by the citrus, but overall tastes watered down and very cheap, i was very disappointed with this.

Pours a clear amber with a good head with decent retention. The aroma is a peachy/citrus hop aroma. The malt is a good bready backbone for the moderate hops. This is a solid APA. The standard APA.

09.30.05 Tap at brewpub. Decent enough with some grapefruit pith, light cracker. Pretty looking beer with lasting and lacy beige head. Touch bitter to finish. Mild APA.

Below average pale ale. Disappointing as I like Breckenridge's IPA. Clear, copper color with less head than most pale ales. Looked good. Smelled like a watered-down pale ale. Tasted okay, but not much flavor to it. Not one of the better pale ales, to say the least.
