The latest addition to the Boulevard family of year-around beers, Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version -- inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A. -- boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping. SENSORY DESCRIPTION: Slightly hazy, golden bronze in appearance. Aroma is flowery, with hints of citrus and fresh mown hay. Assertive hop signature, yet well balanced with a crisp, dry finish. PAIRINGS: Strong, spicy food (a classic with curry!); bold, sweet desserts like carrot cake. Milder blue cheeses such as Gorgonzola or Cambozola.

Shared 355 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. No ABV mentioned on the label. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of American hops, notes of spruce, citrus and tropical fruits. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, with the same elements as the aroma, but is never too bitter. Just enough malts to make the beer feel tolerably balanced. Very likeable.

Light opaque orange yellow, white lacing foam head. Hoppy aroma and strong bitter taste, lasting aftertaste. Fruity notes, orange, citrus. (Velp 201511)

Has a decent crisp and smooth feel, but lacking a little on flavor. Mild citrus and hops. Not quite East Coast and def. not West Coast IPA. Ok all around balance and drinkable, just seems a tad macro-ish as far as IPAs go. Boulevard just started distribution here in FL, but this will have a hard time competing with the better local IPAs, Sierras, and Lagunitas that are around.

A deep golden colored beer with a big sudsy textured off white head rising above. There's some hang tome on the head. Thick puffs of film and a thin ringlet are left. A profile of citric hops and grapefruit sweetness. Effervescent and very sessionable.

Pours a nice clear amber with a good pale tan head. Aroma is quite hoppy, more resiny than woody, inviting a taste. Hoppy flavor is mostly evergreen with hints of Mandarin orange, grapefruit and pear. Firm, fizzy texture leaves a resiny and tingly finish. Single wide, but doubly good!

From my notes: Not so good. No aroma. I looked in the glass, behind the glass, even under the glass. Where's the aroma? A bit fruity, bordering on astringent. So-so...

How I haven't rated this yet boggles my mind. HAd it plenty of times. Pours a clear golden, slightly orange. Nose is big, lotsa hops, plenty of fruit all over. Taste is big for this brew. Hoppy, balanced full malt backbone. Nice brew.

12 oz bottle into a SA pint glass. Got this courtesy of a trade with wnoble. "Best by" date was 1/2/11. Poured a cloudy amber/gold with a two-finger head that quickly settled into a coating. Lacing was light. Nose was lemon, orange, and grapefruit with some grassiness. Taste had a nice hop bite but pretty well balanced or even on the sweet side, Prevalent were grapefruit, lemon, orange, pine and some sweet caramel malt. Finish was moderately dry. Mouthfeel was medium, creamy and with a decent amount of carbonation.

Beer poured an amber/orange pour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and pine. Flavor of citrus sticks out right away and the hops come at the end. A good beer.
