Pours medium brown with good clarity and small, creamy head. The aroma is sweet and malty with some light herbal topnotes. The flavor is clean and malty without excessive sweetness. Medium bodied with proper carbonation. Surprisingly good sample at a Disney property.

Draft @ Big River - downtown Chattanooga. Pours a dark tea brown with a smallish head and some lacing. Sweet malts and nuts with some fruitiness and cocoa in the aroma. Taste is slightly sweet as advertised with some nuts, fruits, some choclate and a touch of some lemon sour. Enjoyable.

Tasted on tap at brewpub. This brown ale pours a dark mahogany color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with some dark malt. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and caramel, semi-sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Not as sweet as a lot of brown ale. Mild flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Nice mahagony brown body is topped by a nice, reserved head. The aroma is slightly vinuous with an interesting smokiness that I wasn't expecting. The hopping is very reserved, but still manages to be a surprisingly complex brown.

Pours with a deep red-brown body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a slight bready note and a touch of roastiness. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.

Nothing really special about this brew: brown, with mild flavors of sweet malts, a hint of hops, and nuts. Quite thin, though a decent effort by Big River Grille.

Distinct caramel in the aroma. You can smell a flowery aroma also. Pours brown with a reddish tint. It has a tan head that goes away quickly. Tastes somewhat sweet with a little bit of a bitter finish. It's a very good beer. Highly recommended.

Poured a dark amber color with a grand fluffy head and durable lacing. Spicy aroma that almost reminded me of lemongrass or cilantro. The mouthfeel seemed thin but the flavor was good-toasty sweet malt, chocolatey and with a vague sourness. Short finish with a light hoppy bitterness. Growler from the Nashville location.

A decent brown ale. A little light on the body but it has a nice nutty flavor with a hint of some sourness. Big River is probably the best microbrewery in this beer wasteland of TN.
