I'm usually not a fan of English IPA's (see, I love Amurika ;)...hophead here); however, this is a nicely-balanced brew. Good head and lacing, burnt orange color. Aroma is slightly sweet. Flavors are predominantly floral, citrus, and caramel. Very nice.

This is my triumphant return to rating! I graduated Summa Cum Laude, mother fuckers! JohnC, thanks for the graduation gift -- you’re awesome! Poured a dark, opaque brown -- almost black. Very nice porter -- roasted malts, hops -- balanced with dark fruits -- and the alcohol will bite you, but is hidden well. Very satisfying.

"JohnC, thank you. I choose you, Pikachu! Cloudy dark reddish-brown with an off-white head (no, Clash, I can’t pour...and stop trying to blow into my ear; it’s freaking me out). One day, you’ll find someone. Back to the beer. Alcohol is strong; the 10% ABV kinda bit me. Dark fruits were really prominent as this brew warmed. Some bubble gum. Very nice!"

"In this world of bigger is better sometimes a simple thing will please your simple desires you have so desperatley ignored!" Clash, you need to get laid. It's a pilsner.

Unique brew -- clear, dark reddish brown, with a distinct sour cream/sharp cheddar aroma/flavor, as well as notes of chocolate and coffee. Halfway through the bottle, can definitely feel the 10.5% ABV; however it's nicely hidden in the flavor. Other than cheese/chocolate/coffee, can also detect some slightly sour dark fruit. Mmm, nice texture, too. One of the stronger English strong ales I've ever tasted.
