Legend of Sorcier lake (Mastigouche reserve, Saint-Alexis-des-Monts) It is said that, on île au Sorcier, lived an evil spirit who, at night, made strange noises and prohibited visitors from sleeping there. During the day through, everything seemed calm; it looked like one of the most quiet places on Earth. But at night fall, it was misfortune to whoever defied his ban because the sorcerer would angrily show up! Visitors would be ruthlessly drowned, with bags and boats in the deep waters of Sorcier lake.

Thanks to Driss for bringing this one back from Quebec City. Pours an amber colour with lots of tiny bubble carbonation. The head is frothy, off-white, big, with medium retention and little to none lacing. Small sediments are found at the bottom. The nose is cider-like, especially red apples and slight vinegar. Carbonated and mild-bodied that becomes flat quite fast. Decent taste of red apples, but does not last long with hardly any aftertaste. Nothing special, prefer the Boréale Rousse.

Amber red not much head this beer was too much carbonated,no roundness but nonetheless refresh my palate...Miss some character, too light on malt and hops,a beer below average.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark amber color ale with a small foamy head that disappeared way too quickly. Aroma of pumpkin and overcooked vegetables is not really pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some gross overcooked vegetables with a dry malt finish which doesn’t really work. Body is flat and lifeless with some oily texture. What a mess from a brewery who use to produce half decent beers not so long ago.
