Magnificent golden / orange body, exceptionally effervescent; the head is a rocky white mass, lasts only a short time, but the body continues to release Co2. The nose is a blooming orchard of fruits, hay, and spice. Notes of apple, peach, apricot, plum, large notes of pear, and rose water. Really reminds me of a blooming apple orchard with notes of orange blossom. Rather barnyard and earthy, a large bundle of hay, grains, yeast, an Amazing creation! The body is prickly yet oily in the same instance, finishes dry and tart like a delicious Granny Smith apple. I just hope my beer store has ordered another case of this Queen; I Must Have More……… addiction is setting in for My Precious!
Post Note: I’m already upping my score on this brew because I enjoyed this bottle to the utmost! A continuous and nearly faultless balance of fruits, spices, malts, and hops, Bella, Bella!

Sampled at the O-Town throwdown. Poured slightly hazy straw color with tiny head. Sour and tart aroma with light lemon or other citrus and a hint of something medicinal. Flavor starts off nice and fruity then mild sourness enters followed by a slight medicinal note. Ends smooth with slight malt sweetness.

Medium sized white head, short lived, no lace to speak of. Hazy gold color. Fruity nose ,cherries and some mustiness. Medium body, good carbonation. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Soft fruity flavors, apples, pears. Somewhat phenolic, sour. Finish is dry. Alcohol is masked well.

04.23.05 Bottle after TAP NY enjoyed with mkobes and maibockaddict, bottle thanks to doubletriple. Orangey gold pour with some floaties and a giant white head. Aroma is grapey and boozy, sherry, and some musty cork. Fabulous, vinous aroma with nicely integrated oxidation. Very dry flavor with more wine-like qualities. More cork, more sherry. Lots of acidic grapeskin. Big plum sweetness is tempered by light funky sour notes, mellow wood, peppery alcohol bite. Has nice qualities of many Belgian strongs, but it’s unique and complex in its own right. Abruptly dry ending. A real treat, and worth the wait.

This is a cloudy gold and its very well carbonated with an ample white head. The aroma is complex with apples, apricots and cigarette ash being some of what I’m picking up. The malt is a bit on the dry side. The fresh fruit and musty flavors are a nice combination.

Honey colored brew pours with a dense tightly packed white head. Looking at the brew you notice that it is alive with bubbles. Nose has hints of green apples and soft notes of strawberry/banana smoothies. Lively palate makes this exceptionally easy to drink. Flavors are based on a solid malty caramel base with very soft somewhat sweet fruity notes floating in and around the tongue all ending in a quiet funkiness that is truly intriguing. An amazing brew that is definitely worthy of its Top 50 ranking.

This was a pleasent suprise to see at the Noog Fest. This was a very LATE rating. Per my notes "A dark orange appearance with a champagne and M&M flavor. Caramel stickyness. It tasted like a spritzer almost. Orange soda and funky things" Hmmm you know what I don’t think Im going to rate anything else off of this particular sheet. Good stuff!

Orange gold color. Small to medium head. Aroma is orangish, fruity and yeasty. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Bright yeasts. Nice balance. An interesting mix of sweet and sour flavors. Crisp and clean. Nice refreshing beer. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

A hazy yellow pour, w/ a large head full of large bubbles. The nose is a bit yeasty, w/ hints of green apple. The body is medium, w/ flavors of more green apples that leads to an extremely clean finish. It's a great beer. Thanks, hopsrus

This brew pours with a slightly cloudy golden body topped by a thick lasting head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet and slightly fruity with a nice clove note, as well as, other spices. A little tomatoish, too. The flavor is slightly sweet yet slightly sour with a nice fruitiness and a great spice note. Medium to full bodied and smooth.
