I am absolutely amazed at how dark the body on this bier is, it’s basically dead black! There is a beautiful light kaki colored head on this sinister Saison!
The bouquet is euphoria! It’s an amazing sensation of picnicking, and eating cantaloupe in a late spring garden. This is filled with ripened melons; reminiscent of cantaloupe and honeydew, then darker fruits like dates, plums, sugar rolled raisons and figs. The flavor is rather toasty; bursting with toffee, caramel, chocolate covered cherries, and then rounded out with a lovely patch of spices, rosemary, clove, and basil. Notes of vanilla and Blue Mountain coffee bean are set up in the finish. The aroma and the flavor in this Bier are only vaguely related, bringing an aroma of Mandarin oranges and tangerines tossed in a popery of spice… and the flavor showing & presenting the toasty malt backbone! The palate can’t get much more rich and velvety in a bier; and the finish…. The finish shows a presence of smoke, kilned chocolate malts… it’s absolutely saison sensational!
Unlike any other Saison I’ve ever examined… an utterly extraordinary use of dark malts, citrusy hops and country spice! -

Magnificent golden / orange body, exceptionally effervescent; the head is a rocky white mass, lasts only a short time, but the body continues to release Co2. The nose is a blooming orchard of fruits, hay, and spice. Notes of apple, peach, apricot, plum, large notes of pear, and rose water. Really reminds me of a blooming apple orchard with notes of orange blossom. Rather barnyard and earthy, a large bundle of hay, grains, yeast, an Amazing creation! The body is prickly yet oily in the same instance, finishes dry and tart like a delicious Granny Smith apple. I just hope my beer store has ordered another case of this Queen; I Must Have More……… addiction is setting in for My Precious!
Post Note: I’m already upping my score on this brew because I enjoyed this bottle to the utmost! A continuous and nearly faultless balance of fruits, spices, malts, and hops, Bella, Bella!

Vintage 2002
The body was a murky tawny golden brown. The aroma was amassed with supple but forward notes of caramel malts, and both dark and light fruity suggestions, plums, apples, pears, dates, raisins and a lovely presentation of banana. The flavor was remarkably blissful, with long distinct notes of brown sugar, leading to toffee and caramel, then a freshly baked brick of dense banana nut bread… yeasty, sweet and sticky…… euphoric!
This beer may rate out as one of the best beers I have ever sampled! It was complex and utterly extraordinary! -

Good double bock ale. I am no true connoisseur but I have drunk several hundred different beers and this Aventinus is quit exceptional German beer. This is an exceptionally dark amber wheat beer with a fruity aroma and a sweet finish. Definitely worth your time, effort, money, soberness, its strong.

Samuel Smith makes some has created some fantastic beers; this Pale Ale is no exception. This Pale Ale has a smooth copper-amber color, and no bitter bite. A must try beer.
