There’s no wonder why our Pale Ale is so popular—it is skillfully crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany. We’ve chosen German hops for aroma, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of American and German malts. While it is very much like a pilsner, our Pale Ale is fermented at ale temperatures, giving it a subdued fruitiness—a perfect compliment to the crispness of the wheat and maltiness of the Munich malt. If you like a lighter brew but also like the complexity of craft beers, then our Pale Ale is for you.

I picked this up from Barrel Chest in Roanoke, VA. There is nothing Ballast Point doesn't do well. This beer is not an exception. A very refreshing and crisp beer. (NOTE THIS IS AN ALIAS FOR CALIFORNIA KOLSCH).

Pours a very pretty clear golden amber with a decent white head. Aroma is not strong, but promises with a little maltiness. Flavor, fortunately, is bolder than the weak aroma, malty with an underpinning of hops.mouthfeel is about average. Not outstanding, but good with lunch.

A bright golden amber colored beer wuth a two finger foamy textured, white head that rises briefly above. Settles into a moderate ringlet. grassy, nutty nose. More grassiness and brady malt in the taste. Effervescent. There's a smoothness. Refreshing.

This brew poured out as a golden color, kind of hazy. The head was a little fizzy but ended up sticking around for a little while. The smell of the beer was pretty nice, giving off some faint grassy hop aromas and malts. Flavor was about the same as the aroma.

More a kolsch than an american pale, so it didn't really hold up to ANY of the other hoppy brews (or any other of BP's for that matter). Kinda boring, though I wouldn't refuse one :)

Aroma: Seemed very fruit forward. Dried apricots, apple juice, cereal-like maltiness, light mowed grass.

Appearance: Golden body, clear with a nice 1" white rocky cap.

Taste: Light fleshy fruits, mild wheat-like base, some grassy notes I picked up too. Sweetness seemes to be well controlled.

Palate: Light bodied, airy...maybe a bit over-carbonated (seemed a bit harsh).

Overall: Easy to enjoy and sucking back a few bottles was not a chore at all.

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some wood, saltwater, earthcellar and some herbal notes. Flavour is quite similar, but has a bunch of honeyish notes in it as well.

Pours out in a clear golden colour with a low firm white foam. Rounded mild aroma of straw, flowers, honey and mild soap. Medium to light-bodied with notes of mild lemon, leaves, straw and orange-peels. Clean mouthfeel. Mild medium-bitter finish of orange-peels, leaves, straw and neutral yeast

That's a mighty perty picture of a fish on this here page. The beer poured a yellow color with a white head. The aroma contains some grassy notes and lemons. This one is a real lemon bomb fo sho. Some malt presence going on and the finish is slightly sour. Overall whatever basically.

This brew poured a golden yellow color and had an aroma that was sweet. The mouthfeel is medium bodied. The flavor is a good balance between bitter hops and sweet malts, i believe this is my kolsh. Overall it is a good brew.
