About:
Well, I'm living in New Jersey now and no longer have my beloved boat. I have been drinking a lot swill lately rather than reviewing like I used to. I enjoy reading the forums and popping in on the chats from time to time. Two kids now, as of 11/22/11. Signing off.

Poured a deep brown with a thick off white head. The aroma has pepper hints but is mainly sweet. The flavor is heavy on the malts, what stands out is the cocoa undertone. Overall I am pleased with the beer and will buy it next season.

First decent beer I have had in awhile, as I was slumming it for almost two years. The aroma is citrus and sweet. The appearance is very similar to the traditional blue moon Belgium white , with less head. The head on my glass dissipated within one minute and had only a ring of white enclosing a galaxy of white star spots. Mouth-feel is my weak suite, but velvety and smooth seems to cover what I am feeling as it swashes around my mouth. The flavor has only a small increase in all areas of the traditional blue moon Belgium white. As it warms I would like to point out an increased alcohol bite, that wasn't there when it was cooler. Overall, contradictory to the majority, I enjoyed this beer and would like to have it again. I would not seek it out, but seven dollars does seems to be a decent bang for your buck on this one. I specifically enjoyed the alcohol content. As previously stated, I have been drinking swill for some time, and the abv was a wake up call to what real beer can offer. Lastly, the numbers in which I rated this beer are in relation to other Belgium Strong Ales. Oh how I missed good beer!

Pours transparent brown with no head to speak of. The aroma is that of burnt toast, roasty. The flavor is sort of light compared to other d. bocks. It is sweet like a dark lager. MOuthfeel was medium to thin feeling. overall, pretty average.

alright i am not a fan, but the beer needs to be rated unbiasedly. The aroma is sweet and strongly of cherries. The appearance is like a pale ale, kinda paler than i had thought. The mouthfeel is average. The flavor is too sweet. a lot of cherry, some wheat, and some warmth. overall an average fruity brew.
