Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. the end result s a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity.

alright i am not a fan, but the beer needs to be rated unbiasedly. The aroma is sweet and strongly of cherries. The appearance is like a pale ale, kinda paler than i had thought. The mouthfeel is average. The flavor is too sweet. a lot of cherry, some wheat, and some warmth. overall an average fruity brew.

12oz bottle picked up at the state store
Clear golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma of cherry soda/syrup and wheat. Flavors of cherries, plastic, straw with some bitter herbal in the finish

Bottle: poured a copper clear color with a medium white head. Aroma is cherry with slight wheat blend. Taste is cherry with some hop and wheat in the finish, mostly cherry.

Smells and tastes like cherry flavored cough syrup. WTF is up with that. Glad i didn’t actually have to pay for this crap. Still better than bud light though.

New rating 2014: Much better this time around, has plenty of good cherry flavors in there. Yes this is much better than the samples I had over 7 years ago. Much better, I would buy this again. The only reason why I had a retest is because one of my friends brought it over to drink. not bad. (Old rating - 1.9 in 2006) Ok, I just had a lambic so this may be a let down. Brown 12 oz bottle. Pours typical pale american yellow in my steeler stein. Smell is beery, possibly hints of fruit in the background. Has hints of cherry or raspberry on the taste buds and the carbonation is average if not below. Finish is not offensive, lacks hops/malts.

This is one of my favorite beers. Aroma is strong; cherry scent is dominant. Color is deep golden honey-amber. Flavor is malty and pleasant, with a strong cherry overtone and wheaty components. Finish is smooth and pleasant. I am fond of cherries, which is one reason I like this particular beer.

CHERRIES, And boy they smell good! Pours a cloudy unfiltered looking gold color. I was expecting it to be red. The mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing. The flavor is cheery, malt then wheat. I like this one.

Enjoyed at the Yard House at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a small white head. Sweet cherry extract aromas with some light wheat, kind of Amaretto-like. The cherries are there in the taste, but not as syrupy as expected. Well-blended with the grain. Refreshing, but a little too sweet for my likings. Still worth trying, but can only have one per session.

I had this beer on draft at Champp's in Raleigh, NC. This beer is a cherry bomb. Not a hige fan but gave it a whirl. If you like fruit beers, you will probably be into this. Way too sweet for me, but my biases shouldn't affet the score.

First tried this several years ago and thought it was awful (think cherry Robitussin). Had it again recently at their Boston brewery and it was better but still bad. Strong cherry flavor seems artificial although it smells ok. This is not a beer I would ever choose to get (only reason I sampled it again was because the brewery tour tasting doesn't let you pick the beer you want to try).

Pours a dark golden color. Smell is strong with cherries. Taste is wheat, some cherries, very refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.
