750 ml bottle, as Founders Blushing Monk 2015, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.2%. Beautiful clear red colour, moderate pinkish-white head. Lovely and intense aroma of ripe raspberries and raspberry candy. Sweet flavour (too sweet for some, I’m sure - but not for me), raspberries and raspberry candy galore, some tart hints and very moderate bittering hops the finish. The alcohol is well hidden, dangerously drinkable. A fine dessert beer. I was about to write "the big bottle is for sharing", but then I noticed it was empty - and I’m here alone. Oh well ....

This one has been revised for 2015. Pours brownish red with a fairly thick buff head. Malty aroma has a firm overtone of raspberry. Flavor is mainly sweetish and slightly sour raspberry, with malty and subtle hoppy undertones. Mouthfeel is firm, smooth and lively. Don’t blush, order one.

Aromas of raspberries, and a touch of booze. Body is a slightly murky light garnet color with a thin fizzy slightly pinkish cap. Flavor is mostly raspberries, sweet with a nice tartness on the finish. Overall a nice fruit beer.

This poured out a pretty red color with a pink head. The aroma is all malt and raspberry. The mouthfeel is very rich but not thick. The taste is excellent, with tons of sweet malt and raspberry.

The word that comes to mind after enjoying a bottle of this with my brother is simply put....stunning. This belongs to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the world's greatest framboise's and fruit beers, because of the fruit forward nature that Founder's has captured in this bottle.
A stunning, raspberry-heavy aroma with some light Granny Smith apple showing up. Flavor squarely punches you in the tastebuds with a stunning array of jammy raspberries, some seed astringency, Granny-Smith like tartness which really accentuates the sweetness and just an all-around fantastic combo of flavors. It really resonated with me and quite happy I had the chance to enjoy. -

Thanks to Lee for bringing this, very excited to try this! .. . Pours a deep plum, light foam .. . raspberries mostly in the nose, as with the flavour .. . very tasty stuff, but not as sweet as you would think, which retains its quality .. . I really enjoyed this! .. . . I’ve had it with this school, Skinner. Low test scores, class after class of ugly, ugly children…

Toss conventional out the window, this is full on raspberry heaven. One of my favorite berries and most definitely my favorite fruit to be found within a beer. Founders nailed this one. 2011 Blushing Monk release with the corrected 9.2% abv. Dark ruby colored pour with a huge purple head and splotchy purple lacing.....yup purple, and you know what they pulled it off wonderfully. Immediate raspberry along with vanilla ice cream, jelly doughnut, and a little touch of clove and yeast. It's creamy, lush and medium to full bodied. A little fizzy along with a mildly tart sweetness. Great overall feeling to it, not as sticky as many fruit beers can become. A showcase for the majestic raspberry and multi-layered within that single dimension. Outstanding and mind blowing. There's a lot of raspberry goodness going on in here.

Bottle shared by Swolf3 at the NSSMNSLT. Pour was a brilliant deep garnet color, small frothy pink-purple colored head. The aroma was rich firm raspberries displaying also some tartness. No oak or wood, a little sticky even in the nose, aside from the tart notes. The flavor followed, pretty one dimensional on the raspberries, yet still quite a nice job. A good job playing sweet AND tart raspberries throughout. Alcohol was way smootho for the ABV. Not as complex as the NG Raspberry Tart, not as amazing as the DFH Fort in depth and complexity (at even greater ABVs), yet still near the top of the fruit beer class. Thanks, Steve, a fun one! And boy, Founders sure can make some fun stuffs!

This poured a reddish pink color with a large pinkish white head. Quitting laughing you pervs! The aroma contains raspberries and some hints of apple. The flavor contains some raspberries and sour apples. The 12.3% does not show at all in this beer. The mouthfeel was very carbonated. Decatursteveo called this a "date rape beer" Well anyways.....a great one in the league of the New Glarus fruit beers.

Pours a clear purpley read with very little head. The aroma is big raspberry, a bit like Chambord. The flavor is decidedly tart, but like fruit juice. This is surprisingly good. There’s no hint of the strength of the beer at all in the flavor or aroma.
