The Ayinger Weizen-Bock is brewed using four different malts in the two-mash process. It offers a refreshing, slightly spicy flavor and the unique, traditional banana flavor. The recency pleasant tingles slightly on the tongue. The wheat beer is sweet initially dominant, where it fades in the finish quickly.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.1%. Moderately hazy golden to pale brown colour, moderate to small white head. Strong aroma of over-ripe bananas, also notes of yeast and cloves. Nice wheaty flavour with citrus, banana and cloves. Very refreshing for its strength. Might well buy again.

Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a big creamy warm cap that lasts a long time, leaving good lacing. Belgian Ale yeast with fruity notes of orange and peach. Mild spices, vanilla. Reminds me of a witbier. Banana-orange flavours with hints of honey. Not as sweet as it sounds. Pretty good weizen, but not sure about the bock part. No dark fruits found. A little to light in colour. Pretty smooth though.

The beer pours a hazed peach-gold colour with a generous off-white head which lasts. The aroma is wheat, citrus, and bubble gum. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet wheat malt, with hints of coriander and citrus rounding it out. -

Pours a cloudy yellow with a 3 finger head that takes its time going down. Massive carbonation. Aroma is of wheat malts, banana, and spices. taste is of wheat malts, light clove, light spices, and banana juice. Finishes off slightly dry. Slight burn on the way down but the booze is no where to be seen. Very good beer from a top notch brewery.

Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a big white head with lots of bubbles streaming through this brew. The aroma is prminently banana with some spice, wheat, bread, and a honey sweetness. The taste is of a slightly sweet banana puree also with a great mild clove spice with the breadiness it's like drinking some banana bread. The mouthfeel is creamy with a medium body.

Cloudy peachy orange pour with a very tight white head that slowly reduces leaving a constant cap and thick ring. Heavy lacing throughout. Big ripe bananas and slight Juicy Fruit gum in the aroma with slight pepper, lemon, yeasts, light earthy hops. Taste and mouthfeel are big, with the bananas upfront with lemons, light pepper and spices, some Juicy Fruit gum, wet wheat, earthy hops. Super nice beer - would be very refreshing on a warm day.

A cloudy, golden colored beer with a big creamy, white head rising above. This one's got great hang time. Eventuallu settles into a thick, soapy ringlet. The nose is yeasty and light spice. The taste bolder in the spice of coriander, with banana and wheat thrown in. Nice full bodied and creamy on the tongue.

Apr. 2010 - Mmmm...I love me a good Weizen Bock...and that’s what this is. The pour was amber, but slightly lighter in color than some of the other examples of this style. A wonderful blend of fruity esters, banana and apple flavors notable, clovey spice and malty sweet goodness. I liked it!

500ml bottle - BevMo
Aroma - suprisingly fruity, solid wheat base...reminds me of fruit cocktail.
Appearance - cloudy golden orange body, 2" white rocky head, great retention
Taste - caramel, cloves, banana, light citrus zest, really nice
Palate - it defines smoothness and velvet/creamy texture. Carbonation melds perfectly.
Overall - world class greatness here, really a great price too -

Banana, apricot, flowers, yeast, soap, and spices are all detected within the fine aroma (although the soap is a little weird). Golden orange cloudy body with a big white head and frothy lacing. Dry with a boozy kick and a medium malt body. Crisp wheat, banana and pear along with apple fritters and cloves. A sturdy brew.
