ARGGBLESHFADAAAAAA……………………..(the sound coming from my pants after first sip) Standard looking brew, dark brown almost black with a ½” tan cap floating playfully on top. The aroma is a big banana bomb with milk chocolate, brown sugar, and hints of dark fruit. OMG that smells so dam good!!! The taste is this big thick creamy smooth piece of banana bread still warm from the oven with a caramel spread on top. There is something in this flavor that is reminding me of mince meat pies, raisen, dates, with a mild spice. This flavor is so complex but simple that is to say it has lots of flavors but there all easy to find. I can’t get over the creamy yummy feel to this beer. The malts are so chewy, the flavor has no turned to a burnt sugar and reminds me of a puffed wheat square. Best beer I’ve had in a long long time.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark burgundy color bock with a super large light brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of banana bread with caramelized brown sugar notes is simply spectacular. Taste is a perfect mix between some freshly baked banana bread with great note of caramelized sugar and subtle dry fruits. Body is full but has a nice creamy texture which really fits for the style with great carbonation and alcohol is really not apparent. One of the best weizen bock I have tasted and truly a great surprise from a great brewer.

Sampled on 1/29/2010. This weisenbock pours a deep ruby drown color form a 750ml bottle. Medium sized beige foamy head with nice retention. The aroma is sweet, malty, brown sugar abd molasses. A medium bodied dunkel. The malts are dark fruit and sweet, brown sugar and molasses. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Sweet, malty and hoppy. Very smooth. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
