Consumed during a drunkening at Lake Vas Vegas...
Poured out a deep, deep amber brew with a healthy amount of chunks but zero head was summoned. Big biscuit aroma with caramel, weak spice, pungent flowers. The sweetness is not over the top but it is very thick. Nice background spice that fades off very well (weak anise), mulled spices, fruit that is thick and dark and more biscuit. Twas ok but not really my thing.

one of the best Amber ales i have had in a while. like Aabrewer said it warms the stomach like whiskey. you can really taste the sour fruity yeast. there some wood chip notes, wood chips that are soaked in jack Daniels. pours a cloudy tan brown nice head.

Alcohol is slightly warming in the stomach. Though a very light and fruity feel in the mouth...Its a hazy pinkish orange color, some lacing. Aroma has scents like red grapes and cherry lemonade....A smooth m/f, fine bubbles and a light/med body work well..... Taste has candy like malts though not too sweet. A Light fruity essence lingers in the background like tart berries, watermelon, fresh green wood. Subtle but effective. A clean finish, Its actually somewhat refreshing even at 8%

O-la-la this is a dandy. Murky orange-brown pour, nice creamy white film sits atop the beer and leaves spotty lacing. Thick malt nose with a prominant sour fruitiness, I'm thinking fermented peaches, apricots, and a little banana. Mouthfeel is also thick and creamy with a very noticeable alcohol bite that finishes with a smooth burn. Sour malt flavors complimented by a strong sweet alcohol kick. The fruits are still there, I keep thinking of this as being "Harry Buffalo-ish" for beer. Really warming and satisfying, it took me quite some sippin' time to finish this treat.

This biere de Garde pours a medium brown color from a 330ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, Aroma is fruity and sweet and a touch estery. A medium bodied amber ale. Malts are very fruity and sweet. Touch of alcohol. Hops are earthy and floral. Dry yet sweet, Very small carbonation. A touch thin in the mouth. Alcohol presence is very noticeable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Sampled from bottle. Pours a murky, tarnished golden brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is rich, sweet malt, plum and anise. Flavor is pretty sweet with wood, raisins and yeast. Viscous and lightly carbonated. Just a little too sweet for my tastes, but still very interesting.

Pours incredibly cloudy amber with a creamy, fading head. Smells musty and of citrus. The taste surprised me because I thought it would taste stronger due to the 8%. Actually, the flavor was soft and balanced, a sweet and sour delight. Smooth and easy to drink, which could be dangerous.
