What began with our flagship Boont Amber Ale and a passion for experimentation has become a unique addition to our Anderson Valley Wild Turkey Barl Series. The six month aging process in third-use Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels imparts flavors of coconut and vanilla and subtle bourbon aromas that are enhanced by a noticeable oak character in the finish. A great accompaniment to fine meals or to be enjoyed on its own, Boont Barl is a truly sessionable barrel-aged beer with finesse. MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L & 80L) HOPS: Columbus, Bravo, Northern Brewer, Mt. Hood

Dark amber with a white head. The aroma contains caramel and a strong presence of whiskey. The flavor is malty and boozy with caramel, toffee, and alot of whiskey. Youd think this was high abv but its not. Dry finish. Overall an ok beer in small amounts.

I enjoy these lighter bourbon-age beers. You can drink more of them without the overwhelming sweet flavors and heaviness that piles up. Better flavor than their regular Boont...been so long since I had it, maybe more balanced and smoother too. Nice beer to try, but pretty pricey given the ABV%.

A mahogany colored beer with a big sudsy textured light tan-beige head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a thick ringlet and persistent cap. Oak and bourbon on the nose. Wood dominates and the sweetness of bourbon follows in the tasting. Creamy textured.

very similar to Kentucky Bourbon barrel ale, in that some light malts and sweetness, and little to no hops, come through in this beer. It's also light enough that the bourbon has equal or more character than the beer. The only difference is KBBA had a peppery bourbon finish and flavor, while this is a touch maltier, but has a sweeter (and slightly lower quality) bourbon in Wild Turkey. Not bad, but not a good deal, either.
