Same old disappointing appearance. No head after thirty seconds. No lace. Weak citrus aroma. Flavours are mild citrus, floral hops and malt sweetness. Best out of the series so far but still not good.

The first of three single hop ales brewed by Alexander Keith's. A hazed golden yellow with a white head. Aroma definitely has more of a hop note than their regular IPA. Flavour is still pretty bland with a lot of adjunct still detectable.

Can. Colour - clear gold, white head. Aroma - citrus, malt, metal. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - Citrusy hops, grains. Overall - a decent attempt to win some fans among the beer snobs, but falls short

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd rate a Keith's brew this high, but they have been getting better. I really like the Ambrosia Blonde and wish it was a year round beer, this is on par with that, and better than their recent Red and White's, of which Rickard's always seemed to have the upper hand. Citrusy and piney, both in aroma and taste, very easy drinking, and tasty. I was not expecting the bwownish colour or strong cap.

Tried this a few weeks back in a bar, on tap, and did not like it. Felt like a typical Keith's brew and not sure why they were trying to get the beer geeks with a name like this, if it was going to taste like normal swill. Now, tasting it from the can so I can get a different perspective. Pours a clean amber colour with a slightly creamy, off-white head that is above-average lasting with decent lace. I can finally smell the Cascade in this one (which I could not from the other). Mild, but present. Average mouthfeel with not much dryness from the hop. The Cascade is also mild, but there, in the taste. Disappears quickly and the corn base brew shows up in the finish. So, much better from the can (as the draught did not show Cascade at all). Just not sure who they are trying to get with this marketing campaign and supposedly higher-end brew.

473ml can from the state liquor monopoly store - pours clear orange gold with a 2 finger rocky cap that lasts a while Highly carbonated. Aroma has subtle hints of grapefruit with some malty sweetness. Flavour is 2 dimensional but far better than anything else they brew. This has modest hop bite and is not sweet. Clean lightly hoppy and slightly bitter-dry, some citrus and fruits, if it has faults its that its a bit thin and the malts are hard to discern. Not bad for a corporate brewer, I could at least drinks this if there were no craft beer on tap - compared with the other Keith’s swill which is totally unpalatable.

The beer pours a golden-red colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a cap. There is definitely the citrusy notes of the cascade hops, as well as some weak caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour doesn’t live up to the aroma. Some weak hoppy grapefruit notes mixed in with the infamous dishsoap notes. Better than their flagship IPA, but still ’crafty’ as opposed to ’craft’ -

At James St. Pub, pint arrived with a thin layer of head and has a pale golden amber appearance. Has some patchy lacing. Mild aromas of nutty and toasty mslts as well as citrus and light floral hops. Flavours of mild bitter hops and a slight citrus hop taste. Almost like a rusty type aftertaste, from roasted malts. Better than the regular Keith's, but not much more to write home about. Somewhat disappointing.
