Hazy brown body with an ok head. The aroma has a bit of apples in it and a slight tartness. There's a nice touch of caramel and it's a little sweet. It's tasty, but I can't say I was overly impressed with it.

This review is from notes previously taken This is a nice dark reddish brown pour with a lot of complex flavors. If you like a big beer, this is a nice one. thx to egajdzis for this one

This brew pours with an opaque dark brown body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is slightly sweet yet sour and malty with a slight spiciness. The flavor is slightly bitter and sour with a slight spiciness. Medium bodied and smooth yet dry.

Poured a dark amber, ruby color with a tan head. It had a sour citrus aroma, some cherries were detected in the aroma as well. The taste was dominantly sour, with lemon, plum and certainly citrus noted, I very good beer and I would love to buy this again. If I had to describe it, Yard's got 2/3 of the description correct, a mix between a dubbel and a tripel, but they left out the lambic qualities of this beer. The majority of my samples were around a year old, however I had one last month, and the tart Belgian qualities are missing. I don't think they are making this anymore, its a shame my last bottle was tainted.

I had some of this beer about 9 months ago and then again recently from bottles bought at the same time. I was disapointed in that it did not seem to improve, and actually seemed worse the second time around. It was dark brown in color with a head that did not last as long as I hoped. For around 9% alcohol it didn't taste too strong, but seemed a little watery. I wasn't sure what to expect since it's not really following a specific style, but I didn't note much complexity to the flavors. There seemed to be a hint of green apples to it. If you are going to try it, share it with a friend. It comes in a 1 liter bottle and at almost $10. Though it was not a bad beer, I didn't care to finish the whole bottle. I rerated this beer after 3 years and it moved up one point in appearance and flavor.

This beer is supposed to be a combination of a trippel and a dubbel, hence "trubbel". I liked it. This one was aged a bit (close to a year) and was nicely balanced. It was brown/ruby in color with a brown head (kinda unusual) that exploded from the first pour.
