I'm usually not a fan of "Christmas" beers, but I really enjoyted this one. Dark ruby/caramel color, with a nice full light colored head. Nice carbonation all the way through. Rich, but not sweet. Spices on the nose and pallet. Nice lace. Strong, but the alcohol is not apparent. A very enjoyable winter beer.

First of all, I don't think spiced ale is a good way to categorize this porter. Anyway, I really enjoyed this this beer. I was afraid the vanilla would be too pronounced, but it wasn't. It was noticeable, but I'd say the amount was perfect. Not as thick and full-bodied as some other porters, but nice none the less. Very dark, with a decent light to medium brown head. Aroma (and a bit of flavor) of coffee, with taste notes also of nuts and raisins. Very nice.

Poured a beautiful dark amber with a redish tint. However, very little light brown head which faded quickly. Kinda sweet on the nose. Medium to full bodied with dark chocolate, caramel balanced nicely with hops. Not overly hopped as most american beers seem to be these days. I'd say the hop balance was perfect for the style. Very rich, with a nice long finish. Very good, but not outstanding.

Picked up a six pack while at a 7 eleven while on vacation in Williamsburg, VA. Surprisingly good. Spicy aroma, although not very pronounced. Dark orange color with a decent head. Nice maltiness with a little hop bight, lightly bitter aftertase. All in all pretty refreshing. I bought another 6 to take home.

Didn't know what to expect with this one. Usually a generic belgian ale is blonde unless it's labeled brune. This one was a brune... medium brown, wtih a pale, thin head. Lots of belgian spice on the nose. Kinda' thin bodied for the style. Dry, with a nice hop/malt balance. Not too fruity as is caracteristic of most belgian ales. Actually a nice little beer, however, not really a belgian ale.
