This beer is clear with an orangy-gold base. The head is white, generous, but gone right before your eyes. The aroma.........grass. No hops, no honey. The flavour is more grass without a hint of hops or honey. Not a very good beer.

Pour put an amber lager in the glass with a small rocky head that reduced quickly to a sticky lace.....light whisps of sweet grainy smells could be some honey. Medium body with a modest malt spine. Sweet honey like malts up front then a nice dose of cedar hops balance..finish is wet with the hops mixing with that light whaft of honey to create a citrusy almost grapefruit-bubblegum sort of taste.....sweet after taste. All in all not a badly put together brew for a cheap brew. At $7.20 a six, you couldn't go wrong with this...far more flavorful and satisfying than most buck a beer lagers from Brick, Lakeport or Mol-coor-batt.

355ml can. Orange-amber pour, head is fairly sturdy, rocky, sticky lace. Some sweetness in the aroma, very faint dusty grains. Weak flavour, washed out sweet malts. Very faint sign of honey near the finish with small grainy bite. Rather watery body, thin texture, medium carbonation.

this is probably my favourite of the yankee jim series, nice and sweet, but not too strong, although it does go flat fast. its a good buy for the money, especially if ya like the honey.

My last of the Yankee Jim series (unless they create another one). Pours a golden-amber colour with an off-white foamy head. Quickly dissipates, but some light lacing is left. Crazy carbonation at first, then becomes a flat watery mouthfeel. The nose is grainy in malt with touches of honey and something kind of gross and weird (like rust). The taste is not too sweet, starting with some bitterness and malt, finishing on a grainy note. The honey calms down the bitterness and is amplified in the aftertaste, way later. Not a bad swill and easy going.

paid $6.65 for a 6 which is the cheapest i've ever seen or paid. even iron city is $7.80/6. aroma started honey-like when first opened, but went metallic and typical yankee jim aroma after it sat a few minutes. appearance is dark, like sleeman, rather than golden like labatt or lakeport. watery, as you'd probably expect, and somewhat metallic aftertaste, but it's not offensive swill like the other two in this line. for the price, this would be good beer for those that like to party outdoors under a bridge or by the river in the summer time, as this is one of those beers that's better sampled/chugged/swilled out of the can rather than poured. don't get me wrong, it's still disgusting, just not offensive like the ice or the draft.
