Clear pink, off-white foam head. A fresh lemonade, not a beer. OK for that. Fruity aroma and bit too sweet taste. It's OK for what it is, but not my favorite style. (Velp 201703)

Pours a cloudy red with a decent size head that goes down fairly quickly. Aroma is nothing of beer but is very strong of rasberries. Taste is more of a wine cooler than a beer but is easier to drink and goes down smoother. This brew is actually fairly pleasant to drink. Kinda weird I did not find anything about this beer on their website which is kinda odd.

O: Aspartame should never be an ingredient in beer, but this goes down very easy -

This one repackaged as a Framboise. Thus a bit misleading. Rose colored. Small, soapy white head ises briefly above. A thin ringlet is left. Raspberry dominates the profile. Medium bodied, syrupy.

I've been digging the fruit beers lately, I love the regular Wittekerke Wit, and this being a Framboise (or so I had hoped) made my decision to try a single of this an easy decision. Labeled as Wittekerke Framboise, however my splendid sleuthing skills lead me to the quick realization that it's an alias of Wittekerke Rose. Nonetheless I delved quickly into this chilled fruit beer with great anticipation and lofty expectations. Overall I like it, but there is a sugar substitute sweetness that keeps drawing closer. The raspberry is nicely contained, and I get an ever so slight hint of sour tartness. Fizzy and wheaty, with a kick-ass color. I'm man enough to admit it's good.....just not great. I'll keep it in mind if it ever crosses my path again.

250 ml nip bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.3%. Cloudy pink colour, big off-white / pale pink head. Strong aroma of raspberry juice and raspberry jam. The flavour is sweet but still refreshing, with plenty of raspberry juice and just a hint of hops. I think they could with advantage have skipped the aspartame and artificial aromatics, though.

Wow.... smells great at first pour, but contains aspartame ?? Cloudy pink grapefruit-juice-looking colour with a silky white head, with a little pink hue in it. Decent creamy lacing, average retention and light tiny-bubble carbonation. Beautiful raspberry juice aroma with hints of malt grain (after breathing for a while). You can make the connection with the aspartame and sodas that have that. It shows a bit in the scent, and really shows in the taste. Yes, the fruit juice is there, but where it should be naturally sweet, you feel the aspartame kicking in and killing the finish short. It is a little sticky in the mouthfeel in the end, and refreshing at first. Best before date on back label writes 16/01/10 and says beer as ingredient (as oppose to saying malt, hop, etc... ha, ha). Totally driven for women (even showing on the label), not like most fruit beers I enjoy (cut the aspartame please).

a little sweet, pink, and, well, it's packaged like a chicks energy drink for crying out loud, so i'm gonna hafta knock the "appearance" for that. it's actually a little tasty, but you can't tell the base is a wit. Really the wit didn't assert itself as a wit, so there you go. this one is the better of the two. refreshing if uncomplicated.

250ml bottle: Poured a cloudy pink-gold with a rose cap. Promising aroma: some biscuit, spice and fruit and earthy tones. Flavor was a letdown. Fruit and sweetness predominate and obliterate any other flavours. The sweetness seems synthetic as well. I had look forward to this one as I like Wittekerke witbier and thought this was a sort of wit cocktail with fruit and Petrus red...but it is simply far too sweet to define any complexity at all.

Highly carbonated, sugary sweet (or should I say faux-sugary sweet), and altogether a god awful beverage. THis is not beer. This should not be classified as a beer. You look at the botty of the woman on the bottle.....I could wrap my forefinger and thumb around her waist, from the same hand, and make contact with the two - so you know she ain't gulping this garbage down
