Very few breweries in Germany nowadays still brew a light colored bock beer. Will-Bräu is still continuing with this tradition. The beer has a golden color, is very malty & has a rich flavor with a hint of sweetness. A well rounded brew.

Bottle was on sale so this one may be past it's prime, regardless it was still enjoyable. Deep malty aroma with a slight kick. Light golden copper color minimal head and little lacing, but who cares about appearances when one tastes so good. Stronger than it looks this one is packed full of flavor . No doubt this is a bock, sturdy with a high malt presence. Mouthfeel is adequate, overall a roller coaster of a brew.

I think I’d have to completely turn the bottle over from the begining of the pour to get a head like in the above picture. Oh, and the diamond pattern and lettering on my bottle is green, not red. Looking closer at the picture, it says "Ur-Bock" and this one has "Mai Bock" which would likely explain that, but this bottle days say "ur bock" on the back, so we’re good. Pours a light amber with a little head and no lace. Scent is malt but faint; typical for the style only weak. Everything else is typical for the style so I’ll stop here. The exception is that it has a really pronounced mineral mouthfell that’s very nice, IMO. Overall, try it if you’re really into Bocks, but otherwise it’s nothing special.

WOW! A very tasty beer. A nice dark golden color to it with a white head. Aroma is that of mashed/ground malt, VERY nice. Nose is also herbs and a grassy blend of hops. Flavor was malty, grassy, toasty and bittersweet. Nice silky finish makes this rate very high with me.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and buttery. Medium body bock. Malts are sweet and very buttery. Hops are slightly bitter. Very sweet and buttery, possibly infected? Touch thin tasting for a bock. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This review is from notes previous taken. Had this on draft at Hollingshead Deli in Orange California. Hazy golden, a bit malty w/ some malt on the nose. Nothing out of the ordinary.
