Dark pour, pinky finger head and lacing. Weak aroma of roast. Flavor was smooth and chocolatey, with some roasted coffee. Not overly strong, but smooth going down. Not bad.

Pours a nice deep brown with about 1.5 fingers of very pale tan head. Lacing is nice as is retention. Smell is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel. Very slight wine-like character to this which is kind of nice. Smell is a little weak on this one though. Taste is strong roasted character, dark and milk chocolates. Dark fruits (figs, raisins). Hops are strong, but I think that the bitterness of this one stems mostly from the roasted espresso character of it. Mouthfeel is good, nothing out of the ordinary there. Overall, a decent porter. I wouldn't pass it up if I had the chance to try it again.

Pours dark brown, almost medicinal aroma, I think I detect some cherries in there (?). Wonderful palate, nice and thick and silky smooth. Taste is mildly troubling, kind of dry with none of the chocolatey hints I have come to like from porters. Overall, a nice local (for me) beer.

A descent porter. Dark, a descent amount of choco flavor is apparent. Not a great aftertaste, but still descent overall.

Nice dark ruby red color with a smooth taste and texture. Started out with a pleasant bittrness, but an emerging sweetness soon takes over. Chocolate-coffee hins remain in the aftertaste. The finish is well blended, velvety and slightly fizzy. Quite a good porter.

Pours with a very dark red-brown body topped by a thick tan lasting head with a good amount of lace. Slightly Sweet and slightly smokey malt aroma with a chocalatey background. Somewhat weak aroma. Slightly sweet and smokey malt flavor wtih a coffeeish bitter background. The finish is midly smokey. Medium to full bodied and smooth.

Wild goose is a great beer for the price. The porter is worth a try.
