The beer pours a murky mahogany colour with a thin creamy tan coloured head which results in nice lacing. The aroma is bready malt, some roasted malts, yeast, and a very faint hint of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is on the sweet side with notes of sugar, caramel, and fresh baked bread. The finish is dry with no hops bitterness. -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a nice big frothy off-white head with thick dirty lace and has a dark amber coppery appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of wheats and herbs, some sweet notes, mostly cinnamon. Flavours are light toasted malt, cinnamon, brown sugar, very faint molasses, a bit herbal but very faint. Some sweetness on the palate.

Right from the get-go, I smell a little infection in there, and hope it is just the hops playing with the malts. Taste looks better with a tad fruity, sweetness from the malts and hints of cinnamon in the finish, with decent dryness. Thankfully not syrupy and easier to drink than I thought. Amber, lightly hazed, with a small light-beige head leaving a little coat on the brew. Patches of lacing. The smell gets back to normal after breathing. Not a bad amber, dessert-like, dry beer.
