Hops Infusion is loaded with piney, citrusy notes, much hops complexity, and a strong foundation of malt underneath it all.. Glowing a deep amber color, Hops Infusion is brewed with seven types of hops. Simcoe, Magnum, Cascade, Liberty, Saaz, Fuggles and E. Kent Goldings give this beer the complexity that's so interesting. Our brewers intention on Hops Infusion was to create a complexity of hops flavor and aromas, not found in any other beer. Originally developed for our BrewPub (no longer open), Hops Infusion was ahead of its time in 1998, but eventually became over shadowed by plethora of entries from other brewers in the India Pale Ale category, with everyone pushing the envelope on hops content more and more. So, in late 2005 we redesigned this beer with an entirely new recipe and new packaging as well. The results are unmistakable, Hops Infusion is clearly a leading IPA once again. We brew Hops Infusion (6.2% ABV, 1.068 OG) all year 'round. So if your local beer store doesn't have it, tell 'em to get moving!

This is OK for an IPA. Just like most of the Weyerbacher beers this one has that distinctive Weyerbacher off taste. It has plenty of hops but does not hit the spot for an IPA.

Pours an orange-ish copper with thin light tan head. The first impression of the taste and aroma is wow, really nice mix of hops and malts. The aroma has a pine hop bitterness with floral hop edges. Rounding out the aroma is a sweet smelling maltiness. The flavor hits first with a sizable pine hop bitterness that rides the flavor to the midway point. Beyond that a sweet maltiness, slight roasted maltiness and a tasty buttery note that really adds to the mix. That medley of malt tastes is brief. The pine hop bitterness squashes it. Around the edges of the pine is a hint of floral hops. Very nice brew.

On tap at the Trivia Pub in Moon Township. This is a typical IPA. Hoppy bitterness that slams with grapefruit peels. Hoppy fruity aroma, much like the rest of the the beers in this style. IPA is not one of my favorites but how can you avoid them, they are ubiquitous. Finish is bitter and lasting. I was surprised to find a bit of fruitiness in the background of the taste.

Bottle: Poured a orange brown with an off white head. Aroma is hoppy and malt. Taste is a gritty hops and citrus. Not over the top hops, but gets the job done for me.

Off white head. piney, minty, fruity nose. Coppery/orange color. Medium body. Hoppy, bubble gum, citrusy flavors with a refined maltiness backing them up. Finishes dry with a good hop bite. Seems they,ve lowered the carbonation levels since the last time i had this brew, its a good thing.

Seven types of hops were used in the creation of this beer, sadly though, the taste gives the impression that no malt was harmed. This beer is hoppy, and poorly balanced. I've not had a lot of love for Weyerbacher beers and this doesn't help their cause.

An amber colored beer with a small frothy textured, white head. Settles into a small ringlet, fairly quickly. The profile is hops, citric, pine and florial. Not as bold as one might exopect but in a medium bodied beer a real thirst quencher

Pours a clear, truly beautiful dark golden amber with a decent pale tan head - quite appetizing. Aroma is strong and hoppy with fruity and floral hints and just a whisper of sweetness. Hops dominates the flavor, which is mildly bitter and has hints of pear, wood and honey. Lively, fizzy texture leaves a fairly persistent and hoppy tingle.

Got this one time at a retailer (Bodega Blue in Vero Beach, FL) that served lunch and had daily specials. Not sure if this was on tap or poured from the bottle...thinkin tap though for the price. Wasn't all that I expected, but a good beer nonetheless. Think this was the first time that I tried Weyerbacher. Just recently tried their Imperial Stout which was just average for it's style. Basically, I haven't hopped on the Weyerbacher bandwagon yet, but curious to try some of their others.

Very hoppy and very delicious. I good drink all of the time and never get tired of it. Love the strong floral hoppy scent of pine needles and citrus. I also love the new bottle label...a fat sticky bud of hops.

Hm.. I will admit, after drinking some heavy brews all night, i expected quite a bit more from this beer then was recieved by my palate. A little weak i think. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a small off white head. Aroam is semi-dank, earthy with hops, grapefruit and pine notes. Taste is refreshing, citrusy and astringent yet not as firm as i was looking for. Im happy to have these guys in my state though, and i can't wait to see more from them.
