A nicely appointed fruit beer that is very pleasingly aromatic. A bit thin in the mouth and more muted flavor than aroma, but still quite nice. Off the tap at Finch & Bull.

Pours a very pale orange with a bit of haze and a small spritzy white head becomes a ring quite quickly eventually dissipating to just about nothing. The aroma has a decent, authentic blueberry scent - not particularly strong or complex but pleasant enough. The taste is similar, it's all about the blueberries but it's not overly sweet, decent flavor and doesn't come off as artificial. Not much else to it other than some bready malts, graininess, maybe a touch of sweeter caramel malts. Not bad, but would have liked a little more blueberry in the taste. The mouthfeel was decent, but a bit thin with some spritzy carbonation.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. There is a best before the month of Oct. notched on the label. Appearance: It has a pale yellow body with a slightly hazy appearance. The pour yields a tall bright white head that fades down to just a ring of bubbles. Lacing is slick and slides right down the glass. Smell: The aroma has hits you with notes of blueberry as soon as the cap is popped off. Natural blueberry, grain and some mild spicy hops are all noticeable in the nose. Taste/Mouth: The flavor is a copy of the aroma. There are light blueberry notes mixed into light pale grain and biscuit malt with a touch of spicy (peppery) hops. It finishes a little tangy and with some hops bitterness and spice. The palate has a light to medium body with some active, almost fizzy carbonation. Notes: It has a decent blueberry flavor but it is just a little bit on the thin side. Still, its not bad at all and very refreshing.

Although the beer pours a clear golden color and smells a lot like blueberry muffins, I wouldn't try this one again--it tastes like a light beer with a little blueberry flavoring. Reaffirms my dislike of fruit beers.

Having grown up in Westminster, MA (home of Wachusett Brewing Company), I've been drinking this beer since the first batch that was made. At that point, the only Blueberry Ale I had was from Boston Beer Works. This was a great alternative.
Now I don't necessarily consider this one a lambic (as labeled on here). It's more of a wheat with blueberry flavor in it.
The beer pours out a nice golden color. It is extremely clear with no haziness at all. Any head that develops from pouring the beer into the glass quickly goes away leaving a light head around the outside of the glass. A nice amount of carbonation bubbles up from the bottom of the glass.
Some of the blueberry beers that I have tasted have a huge blueberry smell to it. The aroma in this beer is nice and subtle though. When you first pour the beer, you get a whiff of blueberry, but that smell quickly retreats back into the glass.
In the flavor department you definitely pick up a "blueberry muffin" flavor. It is very smooth and drinkable though. The only downfall is that you get a heavy blueberry aftertaste, which could turn a lot of people off from this beer. I definitely don't mind it though. I just can't have more than one of these beers in a sitting. -

Not bad I wasn't as pleased as I thought I would but it was OK poured a medium goal with active visable carbonation. The aroma was pleasing but did not transfer well to the flavor.

This was the first blueberry beer I ever had. It was love at first sip. It was smooth, rich, light bodied and the blueberrys seemed to jump right out at you. A pleasant little brewery right around the corner from my friend's home in Westminster, Mass- I raise my glass to you Jen. Cheers! :)

Beer snagged from my dad during a recent trip to Syracuse and hauled back to DE. Off all the Wachusett beers, why did he have to bring this one? I'm admittedly not a fan of fruit beers. This one did nothing to help me acquire a taste. Poured slightly darker than a macro with an aroma of blueberries and floral hops. Why would anyone do this to a beer? The flavor was deity-awful. I took a sip and swallowed as quickly as possible to get it out of my mouth posthaste. My dad said it had a thick mouthfeel, and honestly, I can't take issue with him. I took 3 good sized sips of this before pouring the rest in his glass (we split the bottle). After telling me, "it's not that bad," he eventually drain poured it, so what does that tell you?

I was surprised that I liked this one as I am not one for most fruit beers. The blueberry aroma was quite nice. It poured a nice, dark golden yellow color with lots of bubble action. The taste was somewhat fruity but not sicky sweet as many fruuit beers often are. I really enjoyed this one and would certainly drink it again-I'll have to look for more items from this company.

Well, they don't lie, it tastes like blueberries. Surprisingly drinkable. I wouldn't have more than one though.
