Menacingly delicious, with the powerful, aromatic punch of whole flower American hips backed up by rich, German malts. HopDevil Ale offers a roller coaster ride of flavor, coasting to a smooth finish that satisfies fully.

Decent aroma, with notes of pine hops. Not as strong of an aroma as I expected. Pours orangish with small white head. Laced well. Flavor is of citrus hops, with a bit of sweetness and a barely detectable malt background. Decent, but for the price I'd rather have Terrapin Rye Pale ale.

12 fl oz bottle into schooner glass. Fruity chalky nose. Bronze coloured beer with lasting off-white head. Lightly carbonated. Ohh....this is full of caramel notes mixed in with the hops. Really easy drinking, really well balanced. Great finish. Hides the alcohol well, great beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured clear copper with thin white head. Aroma is split between sugar sweet malts, pine hops and a hint of citrus hops. Like the aroma the flavor creates a balance between the sweet to slightly caramel malts and pine hop bitterness and slightly sweet hop flavor. Tasty.

On tap at the Bocktown. The color of this beer after you pour it is just a little darker than your typical pale yellow american lager. Has decent foamy head that is fleeting after you serve it. Has a nosegay floral aroma. Why do these hoppy beers smell so good and taste so bitter? The flavor is a complex wallop of hops. At first it comes on gentle and pleasant then it hits the back of your throat, yikes. This brew deceives you into thinking it will be pleasant on the front of your tongue.. Then once you got it in your mouth the hoppy surprise comes on in all it’s glory. Below average carbonation. By IPA standards, the finish is quite mediocre but it is still bitter and sticking to the back of your throat. The hoppy linger is not forever but it is present for a good while. Due to it’s medium mildness, I find this one of the better IPAs I have had the opportunity of tasting. Something on par with magic hat HIPA.

On tap at Grünerløkka brygghus. Clear amber with an off-white head. Malty hop juice aroma with caramel, fruity notes and hints of herbs, citrus and malt. Fairly sweet with the hoppy and fruity notes. Finishes with a balanced bitterness. Decent stuff, but lack of freshness pulls down.

On tap at Davis (CA) Graduate
Appearance: Golden with red tint, white head and some lacing
Aroma; Pine, caramel, some citrus
Taste: Sweet malt with some pine hops
A good IPA. It seems to have to much malt character, but that may because it’s on tap across the country from where it was brewed and the hops have mellowed out.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8
Draught: Poured a dark reddish brown with medium off white head. Nice malts and hops aroma, very fresh. Taste is hoppy with a spike to the tongue.

Feb. 2015: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.7%. Clear deep golden to amber to orange colour, moderate white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, but not overwhelming. Hints of orange marmalade. The flavour is surprisingly well balanced and harmonious for something called "HopDevil" - hoppy of course, but no devil is at loose here, rather a benevolent HopAngel. Me like!

Lots of malt in the nose with citrus hop notes. Medium copper body is topped by fair white head with little lacing. Mouth is almost spot on, medium bodied, slightly still, a bit slick. Flavor is fairly complex, malt hits first followed by a pretty good bitter bite; grapefruit/blood orange and a bit more sweetness then usual for an IPA, very drinkable. Perhaps more similar to an APA then an IPA due to excellent balance. Good brew!

Orange-amber color with a thick fluffy white head and lacing for days. Aroma is light caramel malts, a pleasant and robust hoppiness - piney-resin and citrus. Smooth on the pallette. Armoa transitions to flavor. Bold without being too over the top.
