Beautiful orangy-amber colour, with a generous head. Very effervescent. Notes of citrus, spices, caramel in the nose. Very complex. Sometimes vanilla. Full bodied and complex, sweet, followed by and explosion of flavours.

Caged and corked wine bottle from I can't remember. Cloudy orange pour under the signature Unibroue massive, rocky white head. Aroma was tres spicy and yeasty, too. Flavour was fruity, spicey, and yeasty. Tart finish and a nice mouthfeel. One of the better offerings from Unibroue.

In a mixer 12pack (3 bottles). Pours a large foamy head and leaves a thin layering. Has a cloudy amber appearance. Weak lacing. Has the Unibroue yeasty aromas with orange peel and spices. Flavours are strong spice and resin hops. Some malty thickness. Oranges and even mandarins come through. Also has the Belgian yeast taste. Warming sensation in the finish. Medium bodied. Tingling drying mouthfeel. Not bad, just a bit hard to differentiate some of the limited Unibroue beers.

750ml caged corked bottle - pours a cloudy amber -copper colored ale in the glass with a 3 finger off-white cap. Gorgeous spicy-Belgian funk aroma ith succulent fruit tones. effervescent-peppery mouth feel, med-light bodied, spicy-fruity character. Sturdy malt-hop fusion in the front is joined by a (pear/apple)fruity-yeasty-earthiness mid palate...yeasty funky finish with a ripe-fruit/malt after taste. First rate Belgian ale...one of their best offerings.

The beer pours a slightly hazed brownish-red colour with a generous rocky tan coloured head. Aroma is yeast, dark fruits, caramel, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet malt, fruity, and yeast. A very good beer. -

750ml cork/caged bottle -
This one didn't take much time at all for the cork to blow off my bottle, so it must have been building up some serious pressure for it to blow like that. The aroma is pretty much spot on for all of Unibroue's belgian beers, apple juice/cider, caramel chews, all-spice, plummy..love it. Flavor is really strong with an earthy note that I get from Trois Pistoles, huge notes of dark fruit, light toffee, brandy, with a light chocolate/vanilla like finish. Really nice and I'm glad I let this one sit for awhile. -

Bottled@EBF2008. Goldeny amber colour with a mediumsized fluffy/creamy head, that leaves some nice lace. Aroma is plum, some caramel malts, spices, mild notes of alcohol as well as some slight wooden and yeasty notes as well. Flavour is dark dry fruits, some raisins, mild alcohol, caramel malts, spices as well as some slight nectary notes.

Pours a dark, cloudy orangish-red with a medium sized white head. Nice aroma of sweet malts, banana, raisin, yeast and alcohol. The taste was slightly less complex than I hoped for but still a very nice one from Unibroue.

Knoxville Brewers' Jam 2008. Pours an amber-orange with a thin head and lots of lacing. Little carbonation. Aromas of sweet fruits with some orange, ripe banana, apples then a brown sugar and vanilla hint. Taste is very nice and slightly creamy with ripe fruits - dates, bananas - then sweet sugar and malt then a slight vanilla and sweet citrus. Wow this is good.

Figured I would try good ol' Unibroue again with this brew to see if it parts from the regular Unibroue line. Aroma is of bready malt as well as some sweetness and dark prunes with maybe some ripened pear and slight Belgian yeast and maybe some light spice. Appearance is a cloudy, reddish-amber in color when held to the light with a full head on top that is creamy smooth and well-carbonated and a light-tan in color and leaves lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with caramelized complexity as well as balance with a palate that is wet-like and frothy and very tasty. Flavor is of ripened fruit and some tartness as well as some sweetness with an aftertaste that is sugary and a finish that is full and creamy with some light spice and yeast coming through. Overall, not a bad product here and a bit different from other Unibroue products I have had...

Aroma: Lots of honey, kellogs honey nut crunch, wild berries, *i find it very hard to pull aromas from this beer, so complex, like smelling a 1000 different honey vintages at once ...
Visual Presentation : pours a medium orange colour with a good murkiness level.. Head is average for a belgain strong but lacing could be better..
How it Feels: glides down the throat like the first gulp of air after a swiiming medley.. not to much wrong with this depatment.. but i could see how some people might find this maybe a bit thin, but it works on may levels so take it how you want...
Taste: a blend of honey and other fruits are a brillaint base for some kicking candied rum flavours... some sneaky things in this one..
Overalls: a well made beer, from a winning brewery.. buy it...now
