Aromas of caramel, rye, both are faint, not much going on in the nose. A deep, and murky amber brown with some sediment. decent head, some sporadic lace. Flavor grvitates towards the caramel base, plenty of rye and some piney bitterness. Overall an ok beer, drinkable but not great.

Sampled on 10/9/2012. This rye beer pours a dark amber brown color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. with nice lacing. The aroma is caramel, fruity and spicy, with some rye and some hops. A medium to full bodied rye beer. The malts are caramel, bready and sweet. The hops are piney and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Nice rye spiciness and a fairly sweet malty finish. There are some fairly aggressive hops as well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is mostly bitter, with some sweet malts.

A deep, dark, amber colored beer with a bif frothy, off white head. Caramel and rye nose. Add to that in the tasting some piney hops. Light medium bodied, smooth. Flavorful.
