Reilly's Oak Whiskey Red is our Red Mountain Ale aged in bourbon barrels. The aroma of whiskey jumps out at you, followed by delicate toffee taste. The flavor is rich and complex, made smooth and racy with aging. This medium-bodied ale has a lovely, pale ruby color and creamy off-white head. The finish is clean with a slight warming sensation.

A deep mahogany colored beer with a three fingered beige-white sudsy head rising above. It settles fairly quickly leaving practically no lacing. But that is not the strength of this brew. It is the oaken whiskey that dominates so smoothly in this beer.

It pours a dark brown-red with a thick and foamy light-tan head with some lacing hanging around. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, cherries, oranges and citrus, brown sugar, bread and yeast, and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and fairly rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, oranges and citrus, cherries, light whiskey, brown sugar, dark breads, and spiciness. It's good .. but tastes like fruit juice has been added.

Smells sour right of the nose with some cherry and a smidgen of bourbon. Pours a very reddish brown with a trace of head that went away very fast. Watery body with a sharp non smooth finish. Flavors is cheep whisky if you ask me. Almost like they poured in a bottle of old crow in the tank. There is some maltiness and I can see where Beav is getting the cola.
I am not too impressed with the flavor.. I will let it warm up a bit.
ok 10 minutes later is now taste like robitussin!!!

12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a fine off-white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet sugary caramel malts, cola, dark fruits and bourbon.
The flavor is pretty subdued - sweet caramel malts and cola with a touch of harsh bitter alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, not that great. It's a bit of a mish mash with some harsh alcohol that I don't care for.
