I don't believe that this beer is brewed anymore, and my notes date vfrom 2006...so here goes. This was a dark brown beer, light could pass through, and the head was minimal. The aroma was roasted malt, and anise. The flavour was dark malt with sweet hints.

650 ml brown bottle, with a childish Jack in the Box label. It pours out a clear dark brown color, with a thick beige head with good retention, and sticky lacing. The aroma toasted caramel malt and a small hint of chocolate. The flavor is has the similar toasted malty and chocolate-like taste. There is some dark fruityness like raisin or prunes. It is fairly sweet throughout, not overbaring, but just enough to make it flavorful and a medium bodied mouthfeel. Nice to see Tree exploring all these different styles.

This poured a clear, dark amber colour accompanied by a foamy ivory-coloured head. The aroma was nicely malted. A robust coffee and malt taste made for enjoyable drinking, and both mouthfeel and aftertaste were pleasing. Very, very nice beer. Amusing label to boot.

Very clear dark brown with red showing threw when held up to the light, looks like Lipton raspberry ice tea. The thick tan head went fast only leaving trace amounts floating on the very top after a few minuets. The smell is fantastic very smooth, lots of light summer fruits in thick cream, but smell becomes harder to detect once head disappears. A very bitter bold taste, lots of dark roasted malts flavor this beer, it’s so very good. Hiding in the background I taste berries or maybe peaches. The after taste is ok not to bitter relatively sweet, but it does have a lot of alcohol in it. This is a very well crafted beer, good strong flavor and very tasty, it gets seven thumbs up.

pours a dark brownish red with a huge tan colored head that died down after a few minutes and left great lacing. smelled of roasted malts, hint of chocolate there as well. taste like malts, with some hops showing as you can tell the bitterness there. mouthfeel is smooth, bit bitter aftertaste. good beer not great.

Frothed up a decent light brown head that withered down to no more than a scum, but leaves decent enough lacing. Very impressive reddish hue that looks really good up to the light. Light sweet toasted malt aroma and flavour. add some bitterness that hangs around to that. Very drinkable - nice creamy bitter finish. Very tasty. This is an excellent beer.
