The prominent hop flavor of this copper-colored ale includes notes of pine, wood, citrus, and leather. A bit of caramelized malt provides balance, and the beer finishes with a refreshing snap of bitterness. Like the stew of the same name, this was made from small amounts of many ingredients, including eight hop varieties, six kinds of malt, and two cereal grains.

This brew poured a clear amber color with a frothy white head. It had caramel and subtle hops in the aroma with the hops popping out up front in the flavor with a pleasent malty finish.

Pours a dark but clear copper colour with a full creamy off white head. Taste is acidic, noticeably hoppy, with woody and light coffee like flavors. Aroma is soft of hops, figs and maybe some spice. Overall nice beer.
