Saison Rue is an unfiltered, 100% bottle conditioned, Belgian/French-style farmhouse ale. This is a beer of subtlety and complexity, with malted rye, spicy, fruity yeast notes, biscuit-like malt backbone, and a slight citrus hop character. With age, this beer will dry out and will become more complex with rustic notes of leather and earth from the contribution of a wild yeast strain. Being a Saison, Saison Rue is ambiguous unto itself as it is a different beer when fresh and when aged. We hope you enjoy it in all of its incarnations. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 30, SRM: 9, Release: All Seasons, Format: 750 mL bottles)

Pours clear amber with a nice buff head. Aroma delivers pomme, stonefruit and fresh malt. Flavor offers crisp pomme, fresh malt, stonefruit, and bitter piney hops. Texture provides smooth, good body with peppy fizz. You won't rue this.

Embrace the Funk Fest. More surprise beers... Lightly hazed orange golden color, tight head, some lacing, adequate carbonation. Lightly funky and floral nose and palate, some honeysuckle, yeasts and very light citrus. Mild but pleasant.

750 ml bottle at Øl & Mat-festivalen, Oslo. ABV is 8.5%. The beer starts pouring out of the bottle by itself. Cloudy amber colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of Belgian ale yeast, fruity and spicy notes. Fruity, spicy and yeasty flavour, quite nice. Very moderate hops.

I find saisons to be all over the place, and sadly, this one is the wrong place. Bottle is 3 months old and overly expensive. A pale yellow pour, almost no head. The aroma is yeast, muskeg, and swamp. The flavour is dirty water and alcohol. Not very complementary whatsoever.

Pours a gold tan, great head .. . flavours of pine, fruit and yeast .. big for a saison but well made.. . share a bottle with friends, it can get abit much but another good brew from from TB .. ..Can we talk shrimp for a minute. I'd like the boat to be able to haul in a tremendous amount of shrimp. Sort of a Forrest Gump amount of shrimp.

Pours out in a hazy dark golden appearance with a rich lasting white head. Rich yet rounded aroma of dried oranges, mandarin, apricots, mild funk, coriander and neutral (for the style) yeast. Medium-bodied with notes of Seville oranges, coriander, dried apricots, white freshly baked bread and mild funky yeast. Long rounded yeasty finish of yellow plums and Seville oranges with dryish undertones of herbal and grassy hops. Not as funky and wild as I would like but it’s still really well-made stuff.

An amber colored beer. This is a Saison and as expected a big, well carbonated head. The foamy off white head rises above the beer. Settles into an impressive lacing of heavy film high on the glass and ringlet/clouds atop the body. I get a lot of apple in the nose. There’s some sour malt and yeasty notes as well. Medium bodied, soft on the palate. A spicy, tart and sour beer all dancing harmoniously on the palate.

ok so I just got this beer from the rep here on the west slope... I Don't kow how long it has been hiding out in his basement. When opening it there was evidence of yeast around the opening of the bottle..We got a live one here!!!!

Huge bright and wild nose.. full of yeast and sour fruit. there is also some spice. Pours cloudy orange with a nice white airy head that lasted a bit. (ok first sip.. this should be fun)Medium body with ok carbonation that finish a bit dry and has a sting to it.. I am pretty sure this as trolled around his basement for awhile cause honestly it taste a bit weird and very hot. The bret is noticeable. I am getting some ginger and the rye shows up on the back. Peppery with some wood and earth I don't notice the coriander the way I usually do with saisons. This beer reflects the hops very well and the bitter finish lingers. I was hoping for more... but it is funky and I am sure it will change with different temps..

This beer poured a light orange with some haze, it had a white thin head but it left some good lacing. The beer had a fresh smell with a hint of citrus and very sweet. The taste was less sweet than most and you could get some pepper and another spice and some fruity tones but I could not really make out what they were.. The beer was refreshing and made for a good drink while grilling out in the summer time
