Join us in excitement as we release the winning brew from our Batch #1000 homebrew contest - Bryeian! Hard to believe that we've brewed 1,000+ batches of beer and for those who have been with us throughout the years, probably surprising to see that the winner is a hoppy ale! A cascadian, dark rye ale to be exact. Brian Pramov and Bryan Keas, a pair of homebrewers from Denver put together this winning recipe for us and it shined brightly in our competition. The roast of the dark malts, the spice of the rye and the intense hop character combine for a fantastic experience.

750ml bottle -
Aroma - anise, coffee beans, citrus and some spicy herbal notes
Appearance - dark mocha brown, nearly black body, 3-finger creamy tan head, long retention, above average lacing
Mouthfeel - medium carbonation, medium/full bodied, light burn
Flavor - pine needles, roasted malts, more anise, spicy rye quite noticeable, almost carrying a burnt hop pellet bitterness to it.
Overall - another good beer from The Bruery but gets tagged with a high price that really doesn't support jive with me. Gets a point knocked off for the price tag. -

This dark brown ale is in the upper tier of black iPas. Not quite in the elite few, but knocking on the door. Aroma is a blast of rye, citrus, and dark roasted malts. Body is smooth, medium bodies. Flavor very rye centric but not to a fault. Adequately bitter. Similar to Black Racer. Good stuff.
