Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized looking off white head with good retention which slowly fades to a thin wisp and sticks to the top of the glass. The aroma is pale malts, caramel, pineapple and honeydew melon as well. Quite fruity and nice, with enough strength to make you take note. The taste is pale malts, toffee an caramel sweetness up front. Some nice honeydew melon sweetness through the middle, into a nice bitter piney and alcohol nuanced swallow. Bold and lingering finish of pale and toffee sweetness, piney, bitter hops and some boozy notes. The mouthfeel is medium body and medium carbonation.

Pours a pretty, if typical, clear amber with a rather thick and fine-bubbled pale cream head that does not stick around too long. Hoppy aroma has a yeasty overtone and more than a hint of fruit. Flavor is as yeasty as it is hoppy, but still good to drink; there is a decent undertone of apple and orange. Texture has average body, and the fizz is not strong but persists quite well. A decent, if not outstanding, double IPA.

This is almost like a wine, a bit sweet for a double IPA, but the aftertaste is hoppy to balance it out a bit. Not much carbonation, but that is probably planned to bring out more of the flavor. Pours an orange-dark gold color. Semi-hazy medium texture. Pretty strong alcohol content. Overall a top-notch beer.

Was this one an IPA. An orange amber body. Okay. Not much of a head on pour. Ah. Carbonation is evident. But the nose is where things really go south. A lot of sweet and yeasty malt. Where were the hops? A little too much fruity for my understanding and expectation of an Indian Pale Ale.

First Stoudts beer I have tried. Pours orange/dark gold color with little head. Although it tastes good for a double IPA and the alcohol is fairly well masked, I wish it had a stronger hop aroma.

poured a very nice color, kept good foam and lacing all the way down the glass. It had a good taste too it, the alcohol was hidden well. I could not figure out what kind of hops there were there , but definitely would like to find out . A one of a kind DIPA.

This pours a bright darker shade of orange with some head and a bit of lacing hanging around throughout the beer. Sweet and fruity hopped aroma but it isn't all that powerful. The flavor consists of a crisp hoppy grapefruit bite, a bit sweet and a mild bitter aftertaste. The hops don't scream Imperial IPA to me. More like a solid IPA and certainly doesn't seem like there's 10% abv in here. It must be well hidden!

My favorite flavor in a beer is probably caramel malts. I also love a strong flavor. This beer was abundant in both, but what a mess. Incredibly sweet...repulsively so. Strangely, mellowed out a bit as it warmed, but not enough. Oh yeah, beautiful orange color, nice head and lacing. Other flavors were sweet fruits (apricots?), noticeable alcohol and fruity hops (grapefruit and others). Just too freaking sweet.

This beer poured a medium golden/orange color and was topped by a medium thick tan colored head that left good lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma was hoppy but not overpowering or intimadating by any means. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied. The flavor was not as bitingly hoppy as I hoped or expected and had a definate alcohol presence that I thought was a little unpleasent. Finish was fairly dry and bitter.
