Deep jet black colored beer with a big frothy textured brown head rising above. There's good hang time on the head, helping to impart a nice smoothness. It settles into a thick ringlet and splotches of film. Roasted malt in nose. More of the same with hints of licorice. Smooth richly full body.

Sampled from bottle thanks to my friend Dale. Pours opaque black/brown with a tan head. Nice lace. Aroma has strong dark fruit and a bit of smoke. A bit odd. The flavor has caramel, cocoa, molasses and some roasted malt but the fruity yeast esters are as strong as the malts. Very smooth and easy to drink, medium-light bodied stout.

The aroma was roasted malts and touches of caramel and molasses. Faint burnt and peat like aroma to it as well and the sweetness really started to come through nicely as it began to warm. Flavors of roasted malt, sweet notes of caramel and a full body.

a highly roasted oatmeal stout bought on the cheap at trader joes. a decent beer, and a great value for the price, but there are surely better oatmeal stouts out there.

Purchased on my trip to Nashville. Pours a dark black colour with red highlights. The head is big, creamy, tanned, and does have somewhat lacing. A nice little top coats the brew. Beautiful sweet and coffee nose. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel and so is the taste. Roasted malts, slightly bitter chocolat and a very swell coffee aftertaste. I really like this brew. I real oatmeal stout that is not too crazy (and almost session-like).

Aroma of oatmeal, hops and slight chocolate, with a nice, tan, two-finger head that dissipates leaving good lacing. Medium bodied mouthfeel, with slight toasted oatmeal flavor, with hints of bitter hops, coffee and a bit of chocolate.

Poured from a bottle to a black body and thin tan head. The aroma was a strong roasted malt with a slight hint of dark chocolate. The taste was surprising for a low priced beer. Nice deep roasted malt flavor with coffee like finish. Doesn't seem as thick as most oatmeal stouts but what do you want for a buck. To bad they don't have a whole line of beers that taste this decent for the money. I'd drink this again without even thinking twice about it.

Pours a dark brown color, tan head. A charred, roasted peanut buttery chocolate taste. Medium bodied, thin palate and a crisp finish. Altogether not bad

This beer pours a deep black colour with a medium sized tan head. aromas of chocolate, earth, syrup and honey. Taste of cocoa and some sort of specialty coffe drinks. Very nice overall.

Bottle thanks to bockyhorsey! Pour a dark black color, maybe some brown-ness to it all, nice initial slightly off-white head, weak lacing. The aroma was nutty cocoa, some baltic porter character to it with a licorice touch. The flavor was much the same as the aroma, but included a touch of coffee and some slight grass and cardboard coming through, light oxidation? Finish was dry, mouthfeel full and slightly acidic. Thanks for the opportunity, Bill!
