A Founders take on a classic style, brewed with a generous amount of flaked oats, chocolate malt, roasted barley and a healthy helping of Nugget hops, Founders Oatmeal Stout is nitrogen-infused to give it an extra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. An attractive cascade effect gives this beer its forthright visual appeal—and the body and clean flavor delivers on that initial promise.

Pours dark chocolate brown with a thick, fine-bubbled, Guinness-like tan head. Toothsome aroma tempts with chocolate, roast malt, molasses and quality coffee tones. Flavor bursts with roast malt, smoky, chocolate, coffee, molasses and smoky tones. Silk-smooth mouthfeel is a little thin but has plenty of fizz. Get your nitro on!

I had this at Beamer's in Roanoke. This was another really nice beer from Founders. The texture was creamy and fluffy and the beer was dark. The aroma was of dark roasted malts - the flavor tracked the aroma. Very good beer.

On tap at the Wayside Pub in Lake Jackson, Tx. Pours a black body, after the nitro settle of course, with a half inch thin beige head that left some thick curtains of lace. Nice aromas of roasted malts, plenty of coffee and hints of chocolates and oats. Flavor is about the same with a good dryness to it. Overall it's very smooth an easy to drink, yet flavorful. Glad to have tried it and would recommend it.

Welcome to Tennessee! We finally have Founders. This one was one tap at Barley's in the Old City, Knoxville. Nice creamy dark brown pour, tight sustained creamy beige head, great lacing. Nice malty aroma, not overly sweet, hint of molasses though with earthy hops, roasted malts and creamy mouthfeel.

First to try to World of Beer tonight. A ruddy brown in color with a nice bug creamy textured, very light beige head rising above. There was good hang time on the head. It settled eventually into light splotches aside the glass and medium ringlet atop the body. The nose is subtle The tasting more pronounced . The profile overall is grassy and oats. The ale is dry, creamy and full bodied. Well done.
