A very good oatmeal stout, maybe one of the best of the style, but a top 10 beer overall? With the likes of westy, bourbon county, and the rest. Nope. Can't see it. It is good beer flavored beer though, so I'm a fan.

Pours a jet black with a smallish chocolate color head. Aroma is of burned malts and toffee. Taste is pretty intense. Taste is of chocolate, oats, and toffee. Blended very well and it sits really well on the tongue. Finishes off creamy wit only a tad bit of noticeable alcohol. This is one hell of a stout.

pours a black hazy body with a head that is light brown and frothy with good retention along with good lacing. The aroms is dry and consists of coco, tobacco, a little bit of ash and a little bit of malty sweetness along with oats. The taste has the sweetness in the middle and then turns very roasty and dries most of the sweetness out with a slight linger of coffee. the mouthfeel is tingly carbonation on a medium body. Note Porters and Stouts are my least favorite style of beer.

6 pack. Colour - black, creamy light brown cap, good lacing. Aroma - coffee, chocolate, some vanilla. Mouthfeel - full bodied. Flavour - chocolate milk with roasted coffee. Overall - I've always avoided this beer because I assumed it was crap, but this is far from crap, this is excellent.

Pours a black color. Smell is dominated by roasted malts. Taste is kind of mild, roasted malts, some oats. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Woah. Nice looking beer. Extremely dark brown appearance with a thick, foamy brownish head. Aroma is of roasted malts, cocoa, and some spices, can't quite put my finger on. Tasting a bit of coffee and chocolate. A bit creamy and pretty smooth on the way down. I think the aftertaste is quite bitter, maybe a bit much. Still, not too bad!

I believe this brew came from Mr. Louis. One of the last beers I had at my home in Madison. :( But what a beautiful brew it was. Pitch black, creamy light brown top. Black cherry, dark chocolate, milky, coffee grounds toast- all that good stuff. This beer had it. Big bodied stout, which suprised me the most. Really beautiful brew. THanks louis.

Dark brown pretty much just a black hole of color complete with a tall brown crown floating on top. Smells like a cold cup of coffee sitting here in front of me, campfire ash after a rain storm, mild sour, deep rich bakers chocolate, all of it smells good. Tastes like happiness. Cold coffee, dark chocolate, a blueberry like sweetness, tiny tiny elements of cinnomen. Man is this drinkable. Cold black coffee can't be said enough. Finish is sweet but then a lingering bitterness takes over. Can't beleave it took me this many years to give this a review.

Long time wish list item - didn't think I'd get this one any time soon. Bottle brought to me by my buddy Sam. Ka-CHING! Beautiful brown-black pour with a tall tan head, reduced to a constant 1/4 inch cap, big lazy lacing throughout. Rich roasted malt aroma, toasted oats, molasses, light espresso, dark chocolates. Extremely smooth! Nice velvet smooth mouthfeel. Great toasted malt and oats flavor with dark cocoa, slight vanilla, some molasses, some rich espresso and slightly dry bitter linger. Drinks much bigger than the 5% ABV would indicate. Super nice stout - would love to drink these all of the time. Bravo!

Excellent beer. Not too strong in alcohol. Smooth and has a chocolate and coffee flavour. Creamy with a nice brown head. I would love to taste this beer on tap.
