A delicious brown ale with a deep chesnut color. Low hop rate and light carbonation make this brew a smooth and creamy number with a rich, malty-sweet finish. Look closely for the touch of roastedness in the background. English style brown ale with a deep chestnut color. Low hopping rate and lightly carbonated. Rich malty, sweet finish. Touch of roastiness.

For me to go '9' on flavor with a brown ale, it must have really struck a chord. Medium brown when drawn, nice head - great lacing. The flavor - and maybe it was due to freshness, as I sampled on-site - was truly outstanding - rich.

Amber brown with a light tan head that disapates immediately. Aroma of fruit and nuts. Soft, full mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet nutty malt; creamy with a light bitterness and an unfortunate bubble gum residual. Thanks to bluesandbarbq for these Smokies. MUSIC: 'Double Vision Quest' by Minus the Bear

Pours a clear brownish-copper colour with a fairly weak head. Soft nutty character, caramel and cardboard. Flavors are refreshing, very clean on the palate, and satisfying all the way around. A nice refreshing summer brew.

This one poured a clear dark amber color with a thin head. It had a slightly sweet floral aroma and a sweet candy-like flavor with notes of alcohol. Finished slightly sour.

Pours a rich amber-brown clear color with a nice off white head and good lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of toasted malts, earthy and rich, with very slight hops. Taste is slightly creamy with a malty and caramel finish.

Bottle courtesy of Brentfeesh: Poured a dark brown color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention. Aroma of roasted caramel malt with a hint of sourness, which was not too pleasant. Taste of sweet caramel malt with some subtle hops. I think this beer had a small infection since I could pick-up some sourness, which shouldn’t be in this beer.

thanks to jay, he hooked up heem who was ever so gracious to share it with me. very dark, like maybe some redness in a dark brown sea. spicey sauted brown sugar in the aroma. not much for the taste, fairly week, but not bad, dont get me wrong. tastes like a 2 week old biscut.

Bottle. Looks like Lipton Tea with a bit of carbonation. Aroma is pretty strong alcohol. Taste is way too sweet molasses and brown sugar. Roasted indeeed. When they burnt the barrels, they should have burnt the whole batch of this swill. Total crap.

Sorry PK, but I disagree. While this was an okay beer, it's was NOT great. It was bland in my opinion. Cherokee Red kicked it's butt in the taste test.

Make it an 8.5. Deep chestnut color with little head. Laced nicely. Low hoppiness and lightly carbonated. Good flavor with a malty-sweet finish. There is just a touch of roastiness. The best brew available from this particular brewery in my opinion.
